Uyuni Salt Flats / Train Graveyard / Colchani / Incahuasi Island / Sunset
Salar de Uyuni - Reach Uyuni City by 7:00 a.m., where passengers are collected from the bus station and taken to a café to stay warm, with breakfast available at their own cost. At 9:15 a.m., staff will escort them to the office for check-in. (Free time is available as tours and attractions open at 10:30 a.m.)
The tour kicks off at 10:30 a.m. from the Uyuni office, visiting the Train Graveyard and Colchani, a quaint settlement with salt workshops, handicrafts, and textiles crafted from llama and alpaca fiber.
Proceed to “Ojos de Agua Salada,” a saltwater spring, then explore the salt hotel museum and Isla Incahuasi, known for its giant cacti and breathtaking views. Enjoy time for creative perspective photos on the salt flats.
At sunset, witness a stunning view as colors spread across the vast white desert. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay in Atulcha town.
Agencha/ Ollague Volcano / Andean Lagoons / Red Lagoon
Laguna Colorada - Begin at 7:00 a.m. with breakfast. Visit: Ollagüe Volcano lookout point, the rocky road “El Pasito Tuntun”, and the renowned Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota Lagoons where flamingos can be observed.
Later in the day, enter the “Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve”, explore the Desert of Siloli, the Rock Tree, and the expansive Red Lagoon to see more pink flamingos in their natural environment.
Spend the night at a hostel in Huayllajara.
Huayllajara / Stone Tree / White Lagoon / Green Lagoon / Licancabur Volcano
Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna - Start early around 5:00 a.m. to visit: Sol de Mañana Geyser, Hot Springs, Dali Desert, Green Lagoon, and White Lagoon at the base of Licancabur volcano.
Uyuni - Return to Uyuni by 6:30 p.m. with free time for dinner if desired. Arrive at the bus office by 9:00 p.m. for check-in, with the bus departing at 9:00 p.m. Enjoy a sleeper bus with 160° reclining seats, heating, travel blankets, USB charging ports, an onboard restroom, and complimentary snacks.
