La Paz to Uyuni

La Paz - Guests will be collected from their hotel in La Paz at 6:00 AM and transferred to El Alto International Airport for a flight to Uyuni.

Uyuni - After a 45-minute flight, travelers will arrive at Uyuni International Airport, where they will be greeted by an English-speaking professional guide and driver. A delightful American-style buffet breakfast awaits at one of the area’s most popular cafes.

Train Cemetery - The journey begins with a visit to an outdoor museum showcasing ancient and impressive field trains. Entering the Salar via Colchani, visitors can observe the salt processing, view salt piles, and explore a salt hotel.

Isla Incahuasi - Before heading downtown, the tour includes a visit to Incahuasi Island, known for its volcanic rock and giant cacti.

Uyuni Salt Flat - This area offers opportunities to climb for breathtaking views of the white salt plain. Guests will spend the night in a private room at the Salt Hostel.

Salar de Uyuni to Desierto Siloli

Laguna Hedionda - On the second day, the tour continues south, where numerous flamingos can be seen. Other birds, such as geese and Andean gulls, accompany the flamingos in lagoons surrounded by snow-capped volcanoes.

Siloli Desert - Travelers will traverse the desert sands to reach their hotel. That evening, they will stay in a private room at a hotel, enjoying a sunset over one of the planet’s most stunning landscapes.

Desierto Siloli to Salar de Uyuni

Geiser Sol de la Manana - At dawn, the adventure leads to the Sol de Mañana geysers, the highest point of the route at approximately 5,000 meters above sea level.

Aguas Termales de Polques - The cold is intense here, with pools where the land appears to boil red. The desert and Salar de Chalviri offer a striking landscape, blending white snow, ocher desert, blue water, and white borax. Visitors can bathe in Termas de Polques and enjoy a hearty outdoor breakfast.

Laguna Verde - Departing this desert valley, the tour visits Laguna Verde at the base of Licancabur Volcano, arriving just in time to witness the water’s transformation from emerald green to a bluish-green hue.

Laguna Colorada - The return journey includes a stop for lunch at Laguna Colorada, the primary nesting site for three flamingo species. Guests will be returned to Uyuni for an overnight stay at Hotel Luna Salada.

Salar de Uyuni to La Paz

La Paz - Guests will be picked up from their hotel and transferred to the airport for the flight back to La Paz, concluding the tour.
