Our 2 hour guided snowmobile tours will take you throughout the Newberry National Volcanic Monument located in the heart of Central Oregon.
The massive caldera of the Newberry Volcano, is the largest shield volcano in the Cascade Mountain Range. Our experienced guides will lead you to some of the areas natural wonders such as Paulina Lake, Paulina Falls, East Lake, The Big Obsidian Lava Flow, and weather permitting up to the summit of this 7,989-ft active shield volcano!
On our two hour tours, you’ll enjoy world-class views and an endless variety of trails for all skill levels and rider abilities.

We’re located across from Ten Mile Sno-Park—look for our building on the right as you enter. *Please arrive 60 minutes before your tour* for orientation. Arrivals within 20 minutes of start time may be cancelled without refund.

Excellent! - First time on a snowmobile and it was a blast. Forrest was our guide and he was terrific! The views were amazing all the way up the mountain. We stopped several times so we could soak them in and Forrest would kindly take pictures of us. Paulina Falls was beautiful. Forrest was very informative, too, pointing out interesting facts and places. We had so much fun. Thank you Octane Adventures!

Amazing Tour! - My daughter and I recently took the 2 hour tour, which was terrific. The scenery was beautiful and it was a great adventure. The guide was excellent and the equipment was all new and in fantastic shape. I highly recommend the trip and the crew at Octane Adventures.

If you're not sure, just do it! - Was so much fun! Scenery was gorgeous. Our group had many different skill levels and it worked for everyone! Just make sure you dress for very cold weather. We did but it's still colder than you think.

Wow! - I was in Redmond on business for the first time and wanted to see the sites. I booked Octane online and the next day I joined a group of 5 and a guide on a two hour tour. From the time I arrived, there was excitement in the air. The vehicles were high powered and frankly amazing on the snow. The guide knew a lot of history and was both fun and always considered our safety. He took pictures of us and I have some amazing pictures from atop the mountain. I recommend this experience to anyone and all ages !

Wintry Wonderland With a Taste of Adventure! - What a great experience! The equipment was top notch and the tour itself was amazing. This area is beautiful! Our guide was very knowledgeable and informed us about the history and geology of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. We had time for "throttle therapy" - code for "go fast", and also time to get lots of pictures and just take in the view. I am sure we didn't come close to seeing all of what the area has to offer, but it was enough to whet our appetite for more and also make a great memory! Highly recommend.

Doesn't get better than this! - Worth every penny and then some! Had family in town from out of state, decided to book last minute for Christmas morning. Super accommodating from start to finish, easy to book and very delightful guides! I am overly impressed with their service; the guide Clay was extremely friendly and took time to point out historical facts when we stopped. He took time to make sure our experience was enjoyable, the ride was super easy on wide trails, anyone would appreciate from beginners to experienced snowmobilers. The ride was breathtaking, to be able to ride snowmobiles inside a volcano caldera around lakes on forested trails with mind-blowing scenery. Their equipment is new, easy to ride and loved the heated hand grips. Definitely a memorable experience for my family to experience. I'll be back with my wife again soon, pretty hard to beat this experience and their service! Thank you Octane Adventures, you exceeded all of my expectations providing my family with lifelong memories!

BEST SNOWBILING GUIDED TOUR WE COULD ASK FOR!! - Clay was an amazing instructor/guide. He was very friendly, professional and made our first time snowmobiling experience one to remember. Our family is a little crazy and we like high level adventure. Clay made sure we were up in the front of the pack so we wouldn’t be held back from slower riders. We will definitely be back. If you want to have the best 2 hour ride, be sure and ask for Clay. Thank you Clay!

WOW! - This snowmobiling adventure surpassed any I've experienced before. The customer service was outstanding, the scenery breathtaking – encountering bald eagles was a highlight. Our lunch at a charming cabin in the woods added to the enchantment, and the top-notch snowmobiles elevated the entire experience. Discovering such beauty in such a short time was truly surprising. Without a doubt, we'll be booking again.
