Would not recommend this tour to friends - The experience was mix of good and bad. Good: nice views, probably second best coral reef in Dominican republic area (if you are lucky to get clear water), 3h for snorkeling and swimming. Bad: overloaded boat (80-100 people, many without shade in full sun for whole day), slow transfers with multiple changes (From our hotel it took 2.5h to get to the boat, faster return), transfer from boat to Catalaina took 5 rounds of smaller boat runs, total disregard of health and safety on smaller boat transfer. How no one was badly harmed was an act of God. Catalina is worth visiting, but i would not recommend this specific tour to friends.

Fair experience only - Enjoyed the snorkeling off of Catalina Island We were very disappointed in the communication experience, driver did not speak any english and boat crew had very limited english making communication vey difficult, from other reviews was under the impression that they would speak good english Facilities at La Romana dock-discusting!

Dirty snorkel / MY SANDALS STOLEN / disgusting beach chairs / don't expect help if something happens to you - They stole my sandals I DIDN'T LEAVE THEM, NOR DID ANYONE TAKE THEM BY MISTAKE, eye I got off the boat to see one by one every passenger did not have my sandals. Disgustingly dirty snorkeling gear and mold Dirty and moldy beach chairs Dirty and moldy lifeguard Rumbled music like a horn that sounded bad. I don't think if you get an emergency the staff is trained to solve, they didn't do it with simple sandals. It was my turn to walk barefoot on street and stairs when I got back no one offered solution or help. A kid coordinating terrible food felt like a recluse with his treatment and way of talking. The island beautiful but do not use. This medium or company is terrible and dirty all equipment besides

Waste of money. - Was not very impressed. And I wouldn’t go again. Got a call this morning before my alarm went off saying I was being picked up earlier than the planned time. So I had to skip breakfast and coffee. Then rode around in a non air conditioned vehicle for several hrs. Not enough snorkel equipment so I didn’t get to do that at all unless I wanted to use one from a strangers mouth. Waited over an hr for that. Got to the island which was jam packed. No bottled water for purchase. And all that was left in the buffet was spaghetti, some pasta salad, raw chicken. At least the pork was cooked. The staff were all very kind, and did proved various sodas on the boat.

Not as described. - This excursion was crazy. Really long day. They were late picking us up. We only had 30 minutes snorkeling even though its advertised as an hour. The rest was the beach. We changed buses and boats multiple times. The crew doesn't say much or explain much especially the bartender on the island. He was exceptionally unfriendly. It ended up a 12 hour day. At the end they make you stop at a gift shop not in the description at all. We had to cancel our late dinner reservations it was such a long day. I would definitely not go again.

waisting time on transporte to Isla Catalina en Rep. Dominicana - First of all, poor communication with tour operator. They took us and made us change bus to another bus, waisting a lot of time, we finally arrive at port of boarding but the guide never said his name, they were arguing with other tourists. At the island Nobody was guiding or telling where to go, where to eat, where the restrooms were, nothing at all. The restrooms were disgusting, no Toilet paper, no water to flush, the people in charge of the food, were serving and grabing the food withe their bare hands, they were washing the dishes also with their bare hands after who knows they had done what. The life jackets in the catamaran were not enugh.

Disappointed - Quite disappointed with the excursion... snorkeling is a dream (multi-colored corals, tropical fish, etc.) except that once there, nothing, neither corals nor fish! On the boat we are told that we must not touch the fish and corals, except that what little there is is 4m below us so suffice to say that it is impossible to touch them 😅 On the other hand, the private beach afterwards is really great, and we saw more tropical fish there Basque on the “coral reef”! In summary, very expensive for what is offered!

Not a great experience - There are parts that were alright but this was by far the worst excursion we have booked. I don’t normally do reviews but this had me reconsidering my choices and that I should start doing the whether they are good or bad. I was really excited for this but so disappointed. It was unorganized for pickup. To many people for one boat and for the beach to lounge. We didn’t even have seats at the beach. Getting in the water was a bit difficult because it’s so rocky but the water was nice and great to swim in . Super clear. The food was alright but they said we could upgrade to the lobster for my husband when we got there but could not. They would only upgrade us to shrimp which was $25 for 1 skewer. The guy said they were misleading people with the lobster. There seemed to be a disagreement between the workers from the different areas as they were arguing in Spanish. The workers didn’t speak much English for us to completely understand what was going on at all times. The snorkeling was good but have had a better experience especially when we were given goggles that were so worn they were blurry and were not given the actual snorkel to go with it. The drinks were small at the beach and you had to make multiple trips so it got to be pointless. Overall it was not a good experience and I would not book it again.

Do NOT book - DO NOT DO THIS TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!! NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. By far the worst tour we have ever done a d we have done many. Other then the actual snorkeling everything else was a complete joke. Day before tour I was messaging the provider multiple times and calling trying to find out our pickup time. I even contacted Viator who couldn't reach them. Finally, later in the day I tried through WhatsApp and eventually got a response. There ended up being 4 different parties from our resort, yet for some reason they did not schedule us in the same van so we drove around to other resorts picking up other groups rather than just going straight to the boat with a full van from 1 resort. The driver cared more about reading his text messages than watching the road. He made 4 random stops to chat with other driver's with no explanation. Since their scheduling was so pour we had to switch vans part way and day in some parking lot for 30 min. Not a SINGLE employee said their name and even though we booked it as an English tour, not a single employee spoke English. The small boat ride to/from our main vessel was sheer chaos with people being left behind. Drastically overfilling the boats (my husband grew up in commercial fishing since birth and was shocked at how bad it was). NO communication, NONE. Staff drinking alcohol on the boat. Toilet on the boat was backing up and leaving pee all over the floor. Good luck if you want a lifejacket as they only had enough for maybe a quarter of the passengers. Drive back, again driver was reading texts. Again they split up resorts into different vans, essentially so that they could have an excuse as to why we drove PAST the exit to our resorts to go to a SOUVENIRS SHOP where the made everyone get out of the vans and guided us in to "shop and get coffee for 30 min" before rearranging the vans per resort drop off. Thank God some other passengers who were visiting from Poland understood a bit of Spanish because our driver could not speak ANY English and could not explain that we had to get off/wait/get on a different van. We spoke with many other passengers of the tour all who had horrible experiences. DO yourself a favor and book with a different company!!!!!

False advertising rip off - Fraud Alert - This was a total rip off, did not sail from Punta Cana on a catamaran for a great snorkelling experience. The only true part was going to ISLA Catalina. Ad should read sketchy pickup by local transport and crap ride to La Romana to a stinking dirty marina to get on a clapped out speed boat that was a scuba trip booking with some snorkelling suckers thrown on for extra revenue. The trip was 90 minutes late due to the disorganization of the operator and we spent the whole time smelling gas fumes as the garbage floated by the boat. The snorkelling gear was diving cast offs, no guide that spoke english, no guidance, just treated you like an inconvenience while they catered to the big money divers. Isla Catilna was beautiful except for the area we were taken too. The bathroom was disgusting, the buffet even worse and the sand reeked of vomit. The boat barely made it back to the Harbour where we were loaded on more local transport back to Punta Cana 2.5 hours late only to be taken to a "store" when you were stickered with a number for the driver to collect comissions from his friend. Then to top off after wasting 15 minutes only 10 minutes from our resort the driver abandoned us to another driver like some chattal and we had to wait another 20 minutes while he flirted with tourist girls at the store. We were made to stand in the parking lot as he would not unlock the van. He then took some other people for a tour of our resort, not bothering to ask us where we wanted to be dropped off at al, finally we just had to bail out at another resort and walk back in the night. Do not trust anything this company advertises, they are total fraudsters.
