For those interested, there is an optional walk led by your tour leader that ascends above the village to reach spectacular panoramic viewpoints. Along the way, pass through the terraced vineyards that define the Cinque Terre landscape while enjoying breathtaking views of the coastline and the sparkling sea below.

• Corniglia - The journey continues to Corniglia, the only village of the Cinque Terre perched high above the sea. Unlike the other towns, Corniglia sits on a rocky promontory surrounded by terraced vineyards, offering breathtaking views over the coastline and the sparkling Ligurian Sea. With its quiet charm, colorful houses, and narrow lanes, it feels like a peaceful retreat away from the crowds.

You will also have free time to enjoy lunch, giving you the opportunity to relax at a local restaurant or café and savor the flavors of Ligurian cuisine before continuing your adventure.

If you choose the tour option with Pisa, you will be visiting Vernazza, Monterosso, and Riomaggiore.

• Vernazza - After lunch, embark on a real adventure: a hike of approximately two miles along the medieval mule trails that skirt the cliffs and connect the hilltop towns of the Cinque Terre (if you choose the tour option without hiking, the train will be used instead to move between villages). Leave the trail upon reaching the village of Vernazza, one of the prettiest and most characteristic areas you will see on the Cinque Terre tour. Here, enjoy some free time to sit in one of the cheerful bars and cafés or even have a refreshing swim in the sea – it’s the perfect time to get refreshed and prepare for the next part of the tour.
• Monterosso al Mare - After departing Vernazza, the group will take a short train ride to Monterosso, a village renowned for its beautiful beach and artisan shops. Here, you will have the option to relax on the golden sands, browse the shops for souvenirs, or even sample some local wine.

• In case of unexpected closure of the paths for unforeseen events, alternative routes will be taken instead for those doing the hiking

• A large amount of walking is involved for those doing the hiking. You must be of average fitness and be able to keep up with the rest of the group.

• Due to uneven surfaces, we cannot accept anyone with walking difficulties, below average fitness, or young children.
