Great trip. The bus from... - Great trip. The bus from port to Florence was in excellent shape…especially the AC. Lumi was our guide and did an excellent job on ensuring we were back on time. We chose the walk around Florence on our own, it was perfect. We did order tickets to the art gallery where the David statue is on display the day before for 2:30 pm time a lot. Showed up 20 minutes early and were let in early which gave us more than enough time to get back to the meeting point at 4:10. Loved seeing the sites in Florence.

Great well-paced day in Florence - Alejandro and our driver George made sure we had a fantastic day to and from and in Florence.
The drive was smooth and scenic with wonderful information given along the way. Our tour, once in Florence, was well-paced and took us past the important sites with time near each to walk around and take photographs. The meeting times and places were well-defined. Kudos and thank you to a great team!

Great way to see Florence in a day - We took this tour as a day trip from our cruise. Its important to recognize that going to Florence for a day is not the best way to get to know this city, however, if that's all you've got, this trip is great. The company and tour guide, Martina, were great. They left on time, Martina was friendly and informative. The bus was clean, and comfortable. The walking tour is affordable and informative, helps you to see the highlights of the city with limited time.

Best transfer! - Marti, our guide, was great! This transfer was the best and really allowed us maximize the time we had for Firenze. The directions they gave was clear, and Marti provided a lot of tips to go around as well.

We were able to see... - We were able to see highlights of both Florence and Pisa. The team did a great job transporting us and ensuring we got back to the ship as promised…even though the traffic was a major issue. I would have preferred to spend more time in Florence.

The guide was very... - The guide was very friendly but it was hard to understand and hear her. I tried to communicate with them prior to our trip and couldn’t get information from them on what time the free time would be in order to purchase tickets to Academia(which wasn’t available through Viator the day we went but was available directly). We weren’t able to purchase the tickets the day of. The day before they asked us to arrive an hour before our scheduled time in order to leave early, but we didn’t end up leaving until the original scheduled time so we waited around for an hour. I think it may have been better to just do the transportation (which took 2hours each way) and plan the 4 hours ourselves.

Late departure lead to late arrival lead to missed tour - Well, if you’re worried about making it to the bus, it wasn’t a problem. We were there 15 minutes early, but the group couldn’t figure out who should be in what bus and we didn’t leave until after 8:00. Maybe 8:10. Therefore we also arrived later to Florence and we just missed our viator bike tour. Which we are not being reimbursed for.

Easy trip in a worn out bus - Pick up was without a hitch. Bus was from the previous century. Not a lot of suspension and VERY uncomfortable seats. No cushioning. Tour guide was helpful but we left tour to self guide.

Goin with your eyes wide open!! no - If you think you’re going into this excursion and You have purchased a ticket to the academia museum, just know that you do not get that ticket right away
In our case, my husband couldn’t walk real fast and our guide was walking very fast. Also, if you weren’t right next to her, you did not know what was going on as there were no headphones with this excursion..
When I informed her of the situation, she told us to meet her somewhere, but it was very confusing as there were so many people, and it took us a long time to figure out how to get to the meeting spot
All we wanted was our tickets to the academia museum and it took forever to get them.
I wanted to give this excursion, no stars, but it deserves one star for the great bus ride out there and one star for the academia museum, which was very good
But we didn’t know that once we got to the museum we were gonna have to wait in very long line in order to get in. We thought we could go ride in, however, that was not the case..
We had never been to Florence before and had no idea where we were going, and the guide was not much help
On our paperwork before hand, it said we were gonna do certain things in an order that we did not do them!!
Except for the academia museum and finally getting in there and seeing the statue of David, that was the best thing of the whole day so if that’s all you’re looking for it’s worth it!!
