- La Ventana - After connecting you with our van, we will embark on a 2 to 2.5-hour journey to the enchanting fishing village of La Ventana, where wild dolphins gather in superpods near Cerralvo Island. A breakfast pack will be provided for the trip, and a bathroom break is scheduled along the way.
Your day guide will coordinate with the captain, a seasoned expert who knows the best spots to find and observe dolphins. The boat is rustic (without bathrooms) but offers shade and is equipped with all necessary safety gear.
We will spend 6 hours on the 28ft boat, fully immersed in nature, searching for any wildlife we may encounter. From April to October, dolphins are the most frequently spotted wildlife. Snorkel equipment will be available for guided swims with wildlife deemed safe and respectful by the crew. In addition to dolphins, you might also see orcas, mobula ray fevers, various whale species (such as Bryde’s, blue, humpback, or sperm whales), sea lions, and billfish.
Lunch will be a boat picnic at a secluded beach, where you can disembark to enjoy the surroundings and go for a reef snorkel swim if desired.

As a PADI Eco Center, we want to encourage animal lovers away from swimming with dolphins in captivity by joining a regulated tour to see them in their natural environment. This would be a great family outing! We regularly see them from the surface and, for the more adventurous, we can often see them while snorkeling in the open ocean.

This would be a great family outing! We regularly see them from the surface and, for the more adventurous, we can often see them while snorkeling in the open ocean.
Did you know? You will spend a similar amount of money at a dolphinarium (after purchasing photos) as you will on this tour! We will likely encounter lots of other amazing animals in this nature hot spot of Baja Sur.
