This adventure is ideal for both newcomers and adventure enthusiasts. Skilled guides will assist in enhancing paddling skills and ensure safety throughout the excursion. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to appreciate the stunning surroundings, learn about the local flora and fauna, and possibly even spot a sloth lounging in the trees. Whether new to rafting or seeking an exciting challenge, this tour provides an unforgettable way to explore Costa Rica’s wild rivers.
- Minimum age is 6 years
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide
- You will be required to sign a waiver upon tour check-in
- Recommend you bring: Sunscreen, string or strap to secure your glasses, clothes to change into after the tour
- Recommend you wear: Swimsuit, Shorts or long pants (for sun protection only - no jeans), tennis shoes or sandals with ankle straps (no flip flops), light rain jacket and/or polypropylene, wool shirts for cool or rainy days. Cotton T-shirts for sunny days only (they make you colder when wet)
- A minimum of 2 adults per booking is required
- For your safety, the 8.30 am schedule may change because the river level.

Great for those who want to do a raft/kayak combo - Steven and Luis were exceptional guides! My wife and I had a great time with the two of them. SOC was very flexible and accommodating with our requests. I had hoped to kayak while my wife was in a ducky or raft with a guide, and SOC very graciously worked with us to make it happen. Highly recommend SOC for anyone who is looking for a similar arrangement, and Luis and Steven were great for this in particular!

Absolutely recommended!!! - What a great tour!!!
Very well organized with very nice very skilled and fine instructors!
Had so much fun and enjoyed!
Not a moment felt unsafe.
Along the way also spotted a lot of animals and enjoyed nature!
Very hospitable received and after the raft tour also cozy with each other fruit / warm casave eaten and sugar cane syrup made!
The pictures taken along the way are also very nice!!

Great. Great. - Fun and enthusiastic guides. Especially Steven and David. The rafting was great, it was very fun and challenging. You will get a good explanation in advance. Beautiful nature and animals spotted. Totally awesome.

Wonderful, adventurous with highly experienced and knowledgeable guides - This was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. We’re a family of 5 with 3 young kids (ages 8-11) and it was an extremely fun, adventurous, and safe experience. Steven and Luis were great guides and were able to point out plenty of wildlife along the river. We saw a monkey, toucans, and sloth, along with lots of other birds they were able to identify on our trip. It was well worth it and exciting for beginners and intermediate rafters, and we would definitely do this tour again! We would also highly recommend the photos/videos! They came out great and were a huge addition!

Unrestricted recommendation 👍! - Super nice guide, top equipment. Detailed safety briefing! Great stretch of river. For our 9-year-old daughter it was good to master, other providers only take older children from 10 years! As a bonus we were served a snack at the end of the tour!

10 stars, amazing, fabulous family adventure! - We had the most fantastic experience as a family of 6 - children 16, 14, 11 and 10. A wonderful adventure for the whole family - exhilarating & exciting for all, but felt very secure as parents that we and our children were safe and in very expert hands. The rafting was spectacular- as was the welcome, the beautiful setting and the amazing post adventure Costa Rican snacks and coffee…..The children loved pressing their own sugar cane juice for ‘dessert’………. Delighted with the wonderful photo / video package to help us keep those memories ($30 for loads of photos / videos - which we couldn’t have taken ourselves- as a phone on this adventure was not going to be a sensible plan!)……. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff were fantastic. I’d rate 10 stars if I could - the whole family would……. Will be something we remember for a very long time. Thank you.

Super positive, good guidance, explanation and serious waterfalls. Nice also afterwards together fruit lunch Absolutely recommended - Previously done rafting, but this was super professional. Safety first, got instructions I've never had before but have been handy cotton
