Benagil tour - Our Benagil boat tour was absolutely unforgettable. Captain William guided us along the Algarve coast with skill, humor, and a genuine passion for the ocean. He navigated us into the stunning Benagil Cave and pointed out rock formations shaped like alligators, hearts, elephants, and more. The scenery left us speechless. Vidal captured fantastic photos and videos and made sure we had the perfect memories to take home. His friendly energy and local knowledge added so much to the tour. This experience gave us the best views of Portugal’s coastline, hidden beaches, and incredible caves. The entire outing felt personal, professional, and full of adventure. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Algarve. Thank you, William and Vidal, for a day we will never forget. 🌊✨🇵🇹

5 star 🌟 - Our tour guide Eddie was fantastic, very knowledgeable and entertaining. Our captain was clearly very skilled as he manoeuvred the speedboat through some very tight openings into the caves. It was awe inspiring and good value for money. Definitely should be on your bucket list 👌 P.S the hill to get down to the beach is really steep!

Beautiful walk 🤩 - Superb visit to the caves of Benagil with William and Victor! William speaks French very well and sets an excellent Mood, while Victor is very competent at the boat. A professional and friendly team, a beautiful landscape, this outing really regaled us! 🌊👏 Thanks to you it was "Good Good" little cult phrase of our ride 👍

Benagil by boat - A moment suspended thanks to Nano and Rafael who made us spend an exceptional hour. Captain Rafael's dexterity matched with Nano's comments and humor: perfect!!! We highly recommend!

Trip to the caves lives up to the hype! - We had a wonderful trip to see the amazing caves! Our skipper William and guide Victor were GREAT! They were friendly, helpful and VERY good at guiding the boat into tiny spaces that opened up into unbelievable caves with beautiful colors on the walls. We saw probably 10 different caves and beaches during the 1 hour tour. The water in the caves was so clear you could see to the bottom. William was an incredible captain, navigating the boat right up to the walls of the caves but never hitting them. There were only 3 other couples in the boat with us so there was plenty of room. Victor took pictures of us in the Benagil and "Lovers" caves, and when we came across our granddaughter and her friends in a kayak, they even drove the boat up to them and took a picture of all of us! The woman at the ticket booth was very friendly and helpful as well. We were very happy that we chose Taruga Benagil Tours for this excursion.

Must-see ride with Taruga Tours - Great walk in the caves with our guide Victor and his pilot. Very Good Welcoming and good explanations. We enjoyed it very much.

Super Tour with Eric and Vito - We had a great tour with Eric and Vito. Eric has maneuvered us reliably into the narrowest caves and Vito has in 3 languages (according to the guests in the boat) super much information about the caves ready. Thanks for the great tour Vito and Eric!

Poor customer service from ticket booth - I rarely write any reviews. However, in this case I felt it was needed. The reason we booked this trip was because of the number of positive reviews. Our experience was starkly different… On Tripadvisor, others had mentioned free parking, but there were no signs to guide you. I asked the ticket booth operator (bottom of the hill) where the parking lot was and he provided a vague description of where it was (on top of the hill). The ticket booth operators do not smile and did not seem happy about being there, let alone wanting to help you. I felt like I burdened them with my request for directions. The ticketing agent was a guy who checked me in and provided our tickets which I accidentally left in the car (thinking that it was only required for the parking lot entry) not knowing that it was required for entry on the boat. This was not explained to us. We had receipts for our purchase on my phone. When it came close to our boarding time, I asked a now different ticket booth operator who was a lady, if I needed to show tickets. She condescendingly said that “how do you expect to board the boat without tickets”. I said I didn’t know that and nobody provided any instructions. She said something along the lines of “it was common sense and we shouldn’t need to tell you”. I said okay, my fault, can you issue us two new tickets and offered to show the Tripadvisor receipt. She refused to let us board and insisted that I had to get the tickets. I then had to run up the steep hill to the parking lot to get the tickets. Meanwhile the boat guide Pedro told my wife that he had seen us get tickets earlier, and that it was okay for us to board. By the time I got back I was ready to pass out from the exertion of running up the hill. The only positive thing about this trip was Pedro the guide and the boat driver (I forgot his name). They kept us engaged. However my initial experience prevented me from enjoying the tour. I have purchased numerous tours in the past and have never had such a bad experience. This review is not to deter others from booking with Taruga tours but rather for the company to work on improving their customer service skills.
