- Ala do Castelo - Next, the finest cuisine in Lagos awaits at Ala do Castelo. Guests will savor a gourmet Cataplana, the renowned Algarvian seafood stew, featuring prawns, mussels, clams, and monkfish, all cooked in the traditional copper Cataplana. The dish and the utensil share the same name. To accompany the sauces, Sabir’s delicious garlic toast will be served, along with homemade sangria.
- Mr Toast Lagos - A brief stop at Mr Toast to meet Tiago and enjoy some Pasteis de Bacalhau and an Imperial (small beer). This dish was a finalist in the 7 Wonders of Portuguese Gastronomy. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience local Portuguese culture with fresh food and a beer in hand.
- O Moinho Bar & Grill - This fantastic restaurant, offering excellent outdoor dining options, provides another opportunity for everyone to enjoy a meal together. When in season, fresh sardines offer a true taste of Portugal. Additionally, a couvert, the Portuguese term for small bites before the main meal, includes bread, olives, cheese, and pates. When sardines are out of season, other Atlantic fish such as Dourada (Golden Sea Bream) or Robalo (Sea Bass) will be served. The meal will be paired with Vinho Verde, or Green wine, the famous Portuguese wine from the northwest. The term “green” refers to its youth, as this wine is best enjoyed soon after purchase. It is actually a white wine with a slightly sparkling flavor and a lower alcohol content.
- Snack Bar Sudoeste - Conclude this wonderful day with a BICA cheia (full espresso) and a Maciera (Portuguese brandy), along with the most famous Portuguese pastry, a pastel de nata. This is an ideal place to end the day, as it is one of the most authentic restaurants near the old town of Lagos.
