• Lahore Fort - According to Hindu mythology, this fort was established with the early founding of the city by the son of the great Hindu God Rama Chandra, predating Jesus. The current Lahore Fort was reconstructed with burnt bricks in 1556 AD by the Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great. Visitors can explore over 20 historical buildings at this world heritage site.
• Hazuri Bagh - This stunning garden, featuring white marble, was designed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in 1818 AD. It was here that he celebrated the Koh-e-Noor diamond, which is now housed in the Tower of London.
• Badshahi Mosque - The Badshahi Mosque was constructed during the reign of the 6th Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir between 1671 and 1673 AD. It stands as a magnificent symbol of Mughal architecture.
• Minar-e-Pakistan - This impressive tower of independence marks the site where the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, passed a resolution on March 23, 1940 AD, advocating for a separate nation for the Muslims of the Subcontinent. It is also known as Greater Iqbal Park.
• Tomb of Muhammad Iqbal - Known as the national poet of Pakistan and the Poet of the East, Muhammad Iqbal was born on November 9, 1877 AD, in Sialkot, another city in Pakistani Punjab. He was a lawyer, politician, poet, and scholar. He passed away on April 21, 1938 AD, before the partition of the Subcontinent. He envisioned a separate homeland for Muslims, a dream realized on August 14, 1947 AD, when Pakistan was established. He lived to the age of 60.
• Delhi Gate - Named for its orientation towards Delhi, the city in India, this gate leads to the Royal Trail from Delhi Gate to Lahore Fort.
• Gali Surjan Singh - This is a renowned, decorated street in the old town, named after the famous hakeem Surjan Singh, who lived during the Sikh period. Visitors can also explore Elbow Street, so narrow that if a man and woman approach from opposite directions, a marriage certificate might be needed.
• Masjid Wazir Khan - The Wazir Khan Mosque, located in the heart of the walled city/old town Lahore, is considered the most beautiful mosque in Lahore and is a must-see.
• Shahi Hammam - These Royal Baths were constructed by Ilm-ud-din Ansari in 1635 AD during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan. The same individual also built the Wazir Khan Mosque.
