First Tracks was a First Class Experience - I skied with Ash today for a First Tracks lesson and had a epic time. It was a full powder day, so getting on the mountain before anyone else felt unreal. We cut through trees, rolled through open fields of soft snow, and had fresh turns almost every run. Ash was friendly, easy going and so much fun to ski with. He gave me some awesome pointers and knew exactly where to go for the best snow. He showed me areas I wouldn’t have found on my own and kept the whole lesson fun. An unforgettable experience!!

Got to see a bear - The gondola is part of the Lake Louise ski area and is the only way of heading up the mountain in the summer as walking is not possible due to the creation of wildlife corridors. The base station area is not very attractive ( find ski areas rarely are without the snow) however its spacious , with cafes and toilets and lots of parking. There was no queue to board and you could choose an enclosed gondola or chair - so glad we picked the chair as 1/2 way up we got to see a grizzly bear feasting on the flowers below us. At the top there are views across to Lake Louise itself which gives an idea of the scale of the mountains, glacier and lake. You can take a short walk to a cafe/restaurant but this closes earlier than the lift so keep an eye on timings if you want to visit. Plenty of smaller wildlife to spot.

Lake Louise Gondola experience - My wife came here to take a gondola ride up the mountain, it was well worth the prise as the views at the top were amazing, we top the open chair lift rather than a gondola it was so peaceful on the ride both up and down

A wonderful quaint town in a beautiful national park! The hotel was fabulous. Great for kids as they had their own loft. - Our room had fabulous views the kids loved the pool and the spa was amazing. Afternoon tea was a treat, and the hotel was close to everything.

Lakeshore Shuttle to Lake Louise - The public transport buses were sold out, so I used the Ski Louise Lakeshore Shuttle to Lake Louise. It was a seamless experience - I booked online, chose a date, and chose the times. I preferred this option over public transport when coming from Banff. We started and ended in the Ski Louise parking where the summer gondola and the main lodge is with food, bathrooms, and stores. At Lake Louise, you get dropped off and picked up in the main parking lot near the Fairmont Chateau hotel and the Lake Agnes Tea House trailhead. This parking has bathrooms with running water and water fountains. The shuttles run frequently throughout the day and we were able to get on a different return shuttle because it was not crowded.

Nice ski resort but long way getting there from Banff - Nice ski resort with a lot of greens and blues although the greens here are a bit on the challenging side but all very long runs with some open areas. Snow condition ok when we were there with temps in the mid 20s, a bit icy in the more shaded areas, better on the sunnier slopes. There are several unattended boot/bag storage areas and shelves. No view of Lake Louise from the mountain however although still scenic with great views of snow covered peaks. The lodges tend to get really crowded during peak lunch times. Only thing is getting there is 40 minutes drive from Banff and buses are usually packed and sometimes late so if trying to get there for the 10 am mountain tour (2 hours organized by skill level) could be tricky unless you leave much earlier. One day we got there at exactly 3 minutes past 10 and all the tours had left with no host in sight (generally there are no resort staff anywhere to be seen to help out unlike at US resorts). If staying closer to town center you'll get picked up later and more likely have to wait as the buses will be full by the time they get to your location. Ski/board storage in luggage compartment under the bus, some have limited shelves some just in a jammed pile. Might want to consider putting skis in a bag or get some protection for the bindings as people are not at all careful when loading and unloading. They still give out trail maps in the lodges. The outdoor ice bar is a fun place for a drink.

Not great - Over rated. Not much to see. But nice staff. The only thing to see is lake Louise in the far distance. Save your money. It’s really not a great experience for the money
