Lake Natron

Lake Natron - After breakfast, the operator will pick you up from your hotel for a scenic drive to Lake Natron, following the Rift Valley Escarpment northward.

The journey traverses traditional Masai territory, and soon Ol’doinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain of the Masai, will come into view before reaching the quaint Masai village of Ngare Sero.

Enjoy a guided bush walk to Lake Natron, where the shores glisten in pink as thousands of flamingos breed on the alkaline lake. Alternatively, you may choose to visit the nearby waterfall for a refreshing dip.

A picnic lunch will be served in the afternoon, followed by an afternoon game drive where the sunset is truly magical.

After the game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Begin early and continue the journey northward, taking in the final views of Lake Natron before leaving the Rift Valley and traveling through the village of Wasso to Northern Serengeti. Enter Serengeti by midday at Kleins Gate. Take a break to stretch and enjoy lunch just after the gate, then proceed to your first game drive in Lobo.

Lobo is home to a wide variety of resident wildlife, including wildebeests, leopards, lions, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, and zebras, supported by permanent springs and a landscape of open grass plains dotted with kopjes.

Continue to your overnight accommodation for dinner and rest.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - During the dry season, the Northern Serengeti is an untouched wilderness filled with breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife. The most remarkable feature of this area is the massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra during the dry season. However, the North Serengeti also hosts a wealth of resident wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelope.

Serengeti National Park - After a leisurely morning, drive towards Central Serengeti and spend the day observing wildlife in the Seronera Valley.

The Seronera Valley is rich in wildlife year-round, including carnivores like cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, and lions, as well as ungulates such as buffaloes, giraffes, hippopotami, impalas, topi, warthogs, and zebras.

In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch and continue with the game drive until evening, when you will head to your accommodation for dinner and rest.

Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti National Park - Delight in another game drive in Serengeti National Park before proceeding to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which was separated from Serengeti in 1959. The resident Masai in Serengeti National Park were relocated to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where they continue to live harmoniously with wildlife and nature.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to a variety of wildlife.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, travel along the crater rim to Seneto Gate on the western side and descend into the crater floor on an adventurous path – what a breathtaking view!

The Ngorongoro Crater provides a habitat for a vast number of animals due to its reliable water supply. Animals frequently move in and out. The number of wildebeests and zebras increases during the dry season, while the numbers of elands, elephants, and waterbucks rise during the wet season. Search for the ‘Big Five‘ – buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and the black rhinoceros. The crater is one of the only two places in Tanzania where you can still observe the highly threatened black rhinoceros.

After extensive game viewing, stop for lunch in the afternoon, and in the evening, proceed to your accommodation in Karatu Town for dinner and rest.

Lake Eyasi

Lake Eyasi - In the southwest corner of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area lies the beautiful Lake Eyasi, a soda lake fed by the Sibiti and Baray Rivers.

Visiting Lake Eyasi offers a unique safari experience compared to other Tanzanian wilderness excursions. The area around Eyasi is home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities, who maintain their ancient lifestyles of hunting-gathering and pastoralism, respectively.

Visits to the villages provide a personal, intimate glimpse into the daily lives of these people. You may be spontaneously invited into their homes, learn about family structures, participate in traditional dances, engage in bead making with the women, join the traditional small game hunting and gathering with the Hadzabe tribesmen, make bows and arrows, and much more.

In the early evening, drive to Arusha for an overnight stay. You can be dropped off at the airport immediately after the tour or a day(s) later.
