The Journey Begins: A Safari Like No Other

As a wildlife photographer with a deep love for Africa, I have been fortunate to embark on numerous safaris, each offering its own unique charm. However, the 7-Day Great Migration Safari, which included the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Natron, was an experience that truly stood out. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by our guide, Innocent, whose infectious enthusiasm and profound knowledge of the wildlife set the tone for the adventure ahead.

Our journey began with a drive through the breathtaking landscapes of the Rift Valley Escarpment. The sight of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the “Mountain of God,” looming in the distance was awe-inspiring. As we approached Lake Natron, the shimmering pink hues of thousands of flamingos greeted us, a sight that left me utterly captivated. The hyper-alkaline waters of the lake serve as a vital breeding ground for these magnificent birds, and witnessing this natural spectacle was a reminder of the delicate balance of ecosystems that I strive to capture in my photography.
