Tranquil bamboo rafting experience - This was such an incredible experience for our family. We loved the tranquility of slowly making our way through the rainforest and river on our bamboo raft. The kids enjoyed looking out for wildlife...spiders, snakes and toads which could be seen in the rainforest (we felt very safe on our rafts!). A wonderful and memorable experience for our boys, aged 6 and 8 and both parents!

The trip was really worth it. - We are happy to tell you about a special excursion that was not only relaxing but also educational. Picked up from the hotel on time, we were allowed to spend the day together with our dedicated driver and guide. The journey began with a drive through the impressive landscape that led us to bamboo rafting. On the bamboo raft we glided gently along the river surrounded by fascinating wildlife, including snakes hanging in the trees and birds flying overhead. Once we reached our destination, we could look forward to the next stage back to the starting point on the way back in the pickup truck. A delicious tasting of home-grown fruit awaited us here, which simply tasted heavenly. Another highlight of the day was a visit to the Sea Turtle Conservation Center at a Navy base. It was impressive to see how much effort and commitment goes into protecting these wonderful animals. Feeding the turtles fresh greens was an unforgettable experience. It is also home to the Tsunami Memorial, which commemorates the tragic events, including the boats that washed inland. Our trip was rounded off with a refreshing swim in the Ton Pling waterfall. Despite the somewhat challenging path, it was a refreshing pleasure to swim in the clear water. A huge thank you to our driver and guide – it couldn’t be better!

Bamboo Rapids and Conservation - My wife and I did this as part of the Kaho Lak Elephant Sanctuary day - However, we enjoyed this so much, it deserved a write up of its own. The bamboo rafting was straight out of Indiana Jones and great fun. Prepare yourself for a wet bum. You sit on a Bamboo raft directly on the water and your punted down river and shallow rapids through a glorious rainforest adventure. My wife went ahead and it was the slowest boat chase in history but it was bloody wonderful. Had the chance to check out a few snakes in the grass and trees! Spectacular location. Ironically, just before going on holiday, I have been enjoying the Indiana Jones and The Great Circle game which features a Thai boat level. Well, this is very much that sort of deal! Great fun. A nice round tour took us back to our pick up and then we headed over to the Sea Turtle Conservation Centre which is based at a Thai Navy base. I understand that it's been supported by British scientists and wonderful to see the efforts to support sea turtles in the wild. Any important location too, as one of the key staging points for the Tsunami efforts in Khao Lak that caused terrible devastation. My complete respect and admiration for the Navy and the community for rebuilding as quick as they have in the wake of so much loss. So all in all a thoughtful and adventurous half day visiting these locations and highly recommended.

Brilliant - Brilliant experience, picked up directly from hotel by your guide & driver for your tour. Visited the sea turtle conservation centre in the Navel Base, guide was very informative & amazing to see them at different stages & size. Then onto the Rafting again Brilliant your local guide pointing out flowers, fruit & wildlife while you drift along. Then onto the waterfall didn't see much as was crowded but nice to see.

Good - In general was good. Guide's English was decent. Didnt see any monitor luzards or big snakes as were hoping to see, but it depends on luck and timing, not on the guide.

Great half day activity - Great half day activity! We did this with a group of 8 and were picked up from our hotel. We went to the Turtle Conservation centre first and they were holding a release ceremony as it was the royal birthday. So we got to see the ceremony and hold some turtles that were being released! We then went bamboo rafting which was very peaceful and was lucky we just missed the rain! Note you may see snakes in the trees! And then they took us to a waterfall which was lovely and only a few steps to get to off the mini bus! Your guide was lovely and would recommend!

1/2 day trip - We chose this tour as it wasn't all day. Only 3hrs. We got picked up at the hotel went to the turtle conservation centre, then to the water falls.. This isn't easy to access if you have any mobility problems.. The rafting was very enjoyable saw green snakes up the tree and brown snakes swim past the raft.. Great trip out very enjoyable.

Not really rafting - The lever of the river was so low that you cannot call it rafting, it is solely due to the arm power of the man on the boat that you go down the river. At some places it was difficult to follow the curves of the river because the bamboo “boat” is so long that you had to get out of the boat and walk a bit along the river.
