The Kao Chao Market is considered the oldest market in Lampang, conveniently located near the railway station, which has been operational since 1916. The market opens early, before 5:00 AM, and concludes around 11:00 AM. Visitors can enjoy local snacks and experience the warm smiles of the locals. After exploring the market, there will be a short walk to the nearby iron train bridge for some wonderful photo opportunities.

Wat Chedi Sao Lang - Just a short distance from Lampang, nestled among farms and rice fields, lies Wat Chedi Sao. The name translates to “the Temple of Twenty Chedis,” and the 20 pagodas in the temple courtyard clearly illustrate the name’s origin. However, the temple’s true gem is a solid-gold, 15th-century seated Buddha displayed in a glass pavilion built over a square pond.

Lampang - Visitors will tour the ceramic village at Baan Sala Meng. Lampang is currently the hub of Thailand’s ceramic industry. Numerous creative projects have evolved from simple bowls imported from China to beautiful ceramic bowls with a thick, white glaze, now known as the “Charm Tra Kai” (or the rooster bowl), which has become the province’s symbol.

Wat Phra That Lampang Luang - Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is one of Thailand’s most revered temples. According to legend, the Buddha visited the site approximately 2,500 years ago and donated a hair, which is now enshrined in the temple’s large chedi.
