Phenomenal experience - We had a wonderful time, 2 caring superguides with humor, good food (breakfast, lunch, fruit, really super tasty!) spotted orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaves (monkey) ... staying in the rainforest in comfortable hiking huts, beautiful fauna and flora, rafting... This organization is highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the rainforest and its mysteries to the fullest in a pleasant way

GRRRRR :) - We've just returned from our trekking through the jungle with this fantastic organization! We were able to check off almost all animals on our list (from the 🦧, 🐒 to the 🐜,🐢). The guides Nordin and Robert were brilliant. They taught us a lot about the jungle and about the language and the culture. :)) THANK YOU!

A fantastic adventure! - The homestay and restaurant was very comfortable and an awesome deal for the price. The trek was a fantastic adventure. We saw lots of animals including orangutans (including the alpha male) as well as various birds and monkeys. The trek was at a relaxed pace and we had lots of time to spectate the various animals and landscapes. We were well fed each day and the camp was comfortable. It was based alongside rivers and waterfalls to swim in each evening. The river tube ride back was also great fun! Highly recommend.

Epic trek! - What a fantastic tour! The lodge is beautiful and the food is great at the restaurant. The trek itself was equally brilliant and a highlight of our trip so far in Indonesia as we saw lots of orangutans. Big shout out to our guides Nurdin and Bambang who were fantastic! They were both very knowledgeable, fun and had great energy! We had a great tour with them!

Recommended excursion 100% - Genial!! An excursion I recommend 100%. They guide them very professional and have taken care of us a lot. The food we have been offered very good. We have been able to see the orangutans very closely!!! We have slept in Sumatra orangutan treks and the treatment has been very family friendly, very good facilities and the restaurant they have with excellent food.

Absolutely wonderful! - Our experience with Sumatra OrangUtan Treks was amazing from start to finish! We were met by Roy in Medan who drove us to the lodge, where we were met by Deddy Cool and given an amazing welcome. We ate at the restaurant throughout and the food, prepared by Linda & Tinytin, was superb - freshly made to order and extremely tasty! Our guides for the 2D1N trek were Yoga and Zanet. They are both extremely knowledgeable and went out of their way to make sure everything was first class. They have a great sense of humour and made our trek soooo enjoyable. We saw so many orangutans, monkeys, squirrels and birds - it was truly amazing and an experience we will NEVER forget. The food on the trek was amazing too and on the second day we were treated to mother and baby orangutan coming into the camp - OMG!!’ We then returned to the village via the river on inner tubes which was also very enjoyable. Later on Yoga and Zanet took us to the bat cave which was the icing on the cake. This review is full of superlatives and rightly so. There are many companies to choose from in Bukit Lawang but, based upon our experience m, if you want the best then choose Sumatra Orangutan Treks 🦧🦧🦧

Excellent 3 day treck - Very good organization via mail and on site , a very good welcome and especially an excellent treck that allowed us to discover the jungle and observe a large number of orang outangs and other monkeys. We particularly recommend our guides Mowgli and Anton who accompanied us and guided us for 3 days. Unique experience that we particularly recommend!

Best Jungle trekking organization! Thank you! - Best experience ever!! Trekking was absolutely brilliant, we enjoyed it so much!! We see many wild orangutans and much more animals during our 3 days activity. Everything was perfect organized and we just had to enjoy. Nurdin our guide was the best, always taking care of everything and made us laugh all day, 10 out of 10!!

Wonderful experience - Nurdin was an amazing guide. We did the treck 3 days 2 nights and was watching us the whole time, without losing the smile and making the experience very enjoyable. All the equipment is fantastic and super well organized, from meals to accommodation everything is perfect. We saw oraguntans the first two days, some closer others further away but in any case a wonder, we also saw other species of monkeys. On the last day we stayed by the camp and went down to the village rafting. I recommend the company because of the great human capital it has, you don’t care because they organize everything great and are very friendly. We hired until the commute from the airport and the driver was punctual and drove very well.
