Great Trip with Steven at Silk Road Angel Tours!!! Just Do It! - Steven Kang is a great tour guide. We saw so many interesting sites, stayed in great hotels, and were able to taste fantastic local foods. Steven arranged for a really good driver who we loved. Very interesting area of China. We highly recommend this trip no matter which length of trip you choose. We took some medication that needed to be refrigerated and Steven made sure each hotel had a refrigerator. Seems minor but it was huge for us. Refrigerator's in hotel rooms are not a given in China. After the tour had ended and we arrived in another city on our own we had a problem and Steven got it sorted out for us. Made sure we were taken care of through our flight the next day. We can't thank him enough for helping us even after the tour was over. We were headed to China for a wedding and booked Steven's tour before the wedding at the last minute. So happy we did. We ended up adding an extra day due to internal Chinese flight changes. So glad we did. Steven was able to adjust the tour last minute and always found interesting sites. Our advice: don't hesitate to explore this less visited area of China. The Chinese we met were all kind and welcoming. The scenery was beautiful. The amount of money and infrastructure the Chinese have invested in green energy in this part of the country is evident and impressive. The food was great. Never had to use any plug adapters. The bullet trains are amazing. We always felt safe no matter where we were. The tour ends in Dunhuang. The grottos were spectacular. There is a giant sand dune (singling sand dunes) just outside the city. We wished we had spent the whole day there. Lots of fun things to do: camel rides (which we did thanks to Steven), helicopter and ATV rides, and sand surfing. Fun! Steven also arranged for us to see a show in Dunhuang. We were a little tired that day so were wondering if we should go. WOW! What a great show. Highly recommend. One last thing: my husband has been having trouble with his knees so lots of walking made him tired by dinner time. Steven adjusts his tours depending on clients needs. We appreciated a full day of touring but also loved the rest in the evenings. Thank you to Steven for a memorable trip!

Minus 10 degrees every day, the sunshine time was also a short season, but sightseeing spots such as Mogao caves were also not popular, and it was full of private feeling. It was striking people's warmth and a warm smile who can not defeat the cold. Arranged by Angel Tour, thanks to English speaking guide Mr.Kang (Mr.Steven) 's season's arrangement and attentive, they arranged a greatest trip for us . Thank you, see you again next time!

Extremely well planned and fun - We went all over Northwestern China to all kinds of cool places. I felt like I got to see an entirely different side of China--totally different from the cities. We got to stay in a small village out in the middle of nowhere and help the locals herd their yaks and sheep in. We got to try a bunch of authentic Chinese foods. Rolling down sand dunes in the Gobi Desert was also really fun. Our tour guide, Steve Kang, was phenominal--he planned events in a really balanced way. We had a lot of interesting things to do each day, but never too much, plus, we had some free time which he gave us recommendations on how to spend. Perhaps the only downside could be that it's not a "just walk around and sightsee" kind of tour. We hiked a lot, we slept in crowded mattresses out in a small village, we slept on overnight trains, etc. Personally, I and all of my friends loves this aspect. Overall, loved this tour. Would recommend.
