Must take trip - Awesome trip into the Andes mountains. Beautiful views of the mountains. Alejandro was a great guide and Armando’s driving skills were amazing with all the switchbacks in the road.

More than the sum of its parts - The leisurely pacing of the tour gave me plenty of time to see the mountains and enjoy the sunset. Our tour Guide Alejandro gave us an intelligent and interesting look at Chilean geography and life. A beautiful way to spend an afternoon.

Sunset Cordilheiras - The walk was amazing, the sunset was beautiful. We saw all the ski stations, drank pisco and ate empanadas. In particular the Ravier guide was very friendly and accessible. He spoke almost everything in Portuguese

Great tour with Jennifer! - We did this as a private tour, well worth it! Wonderful commentary and Cesar did the driving, which with 40 switch backs you need a great driver. Jennifer is a great guide, her English is superb and she is super knowledgeable! The cozy restaurant we stopped at for dinner and sunset viewing was also a highlight.

Too Long - This tour could have been 1-2 hours shorter. Too much time with nothing to do. Also, it was booked as an English tour and I was going to meet other travelers but it was bi- lingual and I was the only one that spoke English.

OK way to spend a very slow day - I was excited to have this tour booked because it was a very hot day. Too hot to be walking all over Santiago. Spending a few hours in an air conditioned bus seemed like the perfect ticket. The bus was clean and new but the bounce is incredible. Add that to the 60 (yes, 60) hairpin tours up the mountain and it's enough to make anyone sick. Several did! I'm glad I took dramamine. The driver and guide were nice but not a lot of information was provided. There was a lot of downtime at places where there was nothing to do. The tour could have been reduced by an hour or more. We spent over an hour at a completely empty ski resort. I guess we were supposed to hike, but I didn't bring shoes for that as it was not mentioned in the description. No one did, so we just sat and waited . Then we moved to the sunset site. Cute little mountainside cafe with a perfect patio to see the sunset, but we had to wait about 90 minutes. The biggest disappointment was the tour was advertised as being in English, and while the guide did a great job of talking in English and Spanish, I was the only English one who spoke English. As a solo traveler, I took the tour hoping to meet other people, but there was no one else to talk to. It made the 7 hours even longer. Overall, it was just OK and a very long exhausting day. I think it would have been much nicer in spring when the mountains would still have snow but in the summer there really isn't much to see. Also, the empanadas are just cheese. You get 4 little ones. Since it was dinnertime, it would have been nice to just get 2 little beef ones instead.
