Gathering and Departure to the Initial Campsite

Andean Mountains - The group will convene at 8 AM at the Cafeteria of the Mapicsa Accommodation in Las Loicas. Here, the necessary procedures will be finalized. Participants will check and pack their personal gear into saddlebags to embark on the adventure to the first campsite, which will take approximately 3.5 hours. The journey will culminate at Mayllín Camp, situated at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level.

Puesto Vilches, 2700 msnm

Andean Mountains - After a restful night, the group will enjoy a leisurely breakfast before dismantling the camp and proceeding to the next refuge, reaching an elevation of 2700 meters above sea level. The day’s pioneering trails will take around 4 hours, offering a journey through enchanting landscapes, flanked by towering walls of 4000 meters above sea level. The destination is the Vilches Outpost, where a delightful dinner will be prepared.

Hito Pichi Trolon

Andean Mountains - Following a hearty breakfast, the group will set off towards the Argentina - Chile border at Hito Pichi Trolón. This leg of the journey will take about 2 hours. Upon arrival at the Hito, participants can rest, capture photos, and admire the stunning views of the mountain range’s core at an altitude of 3400 meters above sea level. The return trip to the camp will also take approximately 2 hours.

Los Alamos

Andean Mountains - Once breakfast is concluded, the group will dismantle the camp and head to the Los Alamos Outpost, traversing expansive valleys of volcanic sand. After about 3 hours of riding, participants will unwind and savor their final day together, preparing a regional specialty for dinner.

Return to Las Loicas

Andean Mountains - The group will dismantle the camp and make their way back to the starting point, Las Loicas, to return the horses and organize their belongings. It is important to complete customs procedures with identification. The journey will conclude with a group farewell and the end of services.
