What an amazing natural wonder - The antelope canyon is the most amazing natural wonder and the tour was great. The cons it is 450km away from Las Vegas and so there is a lot of time in the minibus and if you are tall ensure you choose an appropriate seat but there were adequate short breaks. Oscar the driver was very safe and gave us all good directions. It was a great trip but a very very long day

Amazing experience - My family and I took a trip to Page, Arizona and the experience was absolutely amazing from the very beginning to the very end. Our driver Oscar picked us up at our hotel early morning and we travel with my special needs daughter that can be a handful but Oscar patiently waited for us. The trip was fun and exciting. Oscar took us to this cool restaurant that I forgot the name but food was excellent. We definitely will be booking again with Marvit tours

Fantastic sites, Mediocre Driver - Everyone should see Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. They are both breathtakingly beautiful places. However, neither is easy to reach, so the van ride from Las Vegas was four hours one way. The tour operator was gracious enough to pick us up before daylight, at our room instead of Planet Hollywood, which was across the street. We really appreciated that. Our pre-tour telephone contact with this group was great. On the tour itself, there is a stop two hours into the trip at a convenience store that allows everyone to get breakfast. We passed through both Arizona and Utah to reach our first destination, Horseshoe Bend. I would note there is some security fencing at Horseshoe Bend. However, there are many areas where you need to stay away from the edge. We saw several people climbing on high rocks that seemed unsafe. There are many different angles that allow breathtaking views and pictures without doing that. There are bathrooms at Horseshoe Bend. They are at the far edge of the parking lot which is said to be ¾ mile away from Horseshoe Bend itself. The bathrooms were not clean by anyone’s definition. The destination itself is a bit of a hike but really worth the walk. The next stop was Antelope Canyon which is about a 15-minute drive (8 miles) from Horseshow Bend, but it’s on Navajo Nation land. Our tour guide told us the tribe owns 70,000 acres in the area.(Wikipedia says it’s much larger than that “roughly 17,544,500 acres (71,000 km2; 27,413 sq mi), the Navajo Nation is the largest Indian reservation in the United States.” ) The Navajos provide their own tour buses and guides. Our Navajo guide was Marco and he was wonderful. You can’t take a bad picture in Antelope Canyon. It really is beautiful. But also requires a bit of effort. Getting to the canyon requires walking a ½ mile slope at what felt like a 45-degree incline. The average elevation in the area is already 4,000 feet above sea level. After touring the canyon the van driver took us to Lake Powell. It was pretty and the sun was starting to set so we got good photos there, too. Then, we stopped at the Bird House, chicken diner in Page, AZ. The price of the meal was not included in the tour. Horseshoe Bend is officially located in the city of Page. There were eleven people on the tour which included two families with children. We were more tired than hungry and chose to sleep in the van. Then we started the trip back. We worried when the driver spent time with the hood of the van up at the convenience store. It was the second time he had stopped to check how the van was operating. On the way to the sites, he pulled off the road to check something at the front of the vehicle. On the return trip everyone slept – as expected. The driver told us we’d be back between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. We didn’t get dropped off at our building until after 10:30 p.m. Part of the problem was traffic. The driver hadn’t checked traffic reports and didn’t know that a ball game had just ended near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where the two of the families in the van were staying. We felt the driver made a poor decision by going to extreme efforts to drop these two families off first. He had started the day by telling us he was running late when we called him per instructions. He arrived to pick us up , coming from the south of the Las Vegas strip and Mandalay Bay, arrived about 30 minutes after that morning call. But yet, on the return trip, we came into Vegas north of the strip. Our room and the hotel for one other person were located in the north. Instead of dropping us off in the reverse order of our morning pickup – the driver spent more than an hour navigating really heavy Vegas traffic to make sure the people who were picked up first were dropped off first. It took more than an hour of extra time and penalized everyone else in the van. We sat in one spot for more than 20 minutes because of the traffic. Unfortunately, we think his motivation for dropping the Mandalay Bay families off first was language-based. The families and the driver all spoke Spanish as their first language and most of the conversation during the tour in the van was in Spanish. At Horseshoe Bend, we were told to return to the van by 1:00 p.m. to meet our deadline at Antelope Canyon. We were there at 12:55 p.m. and called the driver at 1:01 p.m. The Spanish-speaking families and the driver came walking up together fifteen minutes later. Then, the driver passed several cars and drove really fast to make sure we came close to the deadline that he warned us about at Antelope Canyon, for fear of being turned away. At the Navajo check-in site, the tour driver had to fill out paperwork and have us sign our names for the Navajo’s documentation. The driver stood in front of me with the sign-in sheet but chose to walk four feet away from me to give the paperwork to the Spanish-speaking families so they could sign in first. We also realized he never offered to take pictures of us during the whole tour. Needless to say, we were fed up by the end of the trip with his decision to take extra time and make extra efforts to drop the Spanish-speaking families off first. In fact, as the driver kept making detours to accomplish his objective, my husband pulled up a map and dropped a pin that showed that we were not far from our hotel. This was the second time our driver turned around in that area to try to make his way to the south side of the strip so he could drop these other people off first. My husband told me he dropped the pin on a map, because we were both seeing locations repeatedly, that we recognized as being near our room. Yes, my husband showed the driver the map and told him our feelings. There was no tip. Summation: The driver arrived late by his own admission, causing us to wait extra time downstairs; he had very little knowledge about the places we toured; his command of English seemed to be very limited; he unnecessarily exceeded the speed limit and passed several cars to get his to Antelope Canyon and lastly in our opinion, the driver played favorites, which among other things, caused our drop off time to be much later than was necessary. We just felt the customer service aspect didn’t rise to the level that we had received from the men representing the company on the telephone. Overall the tour was well organized, the sites themselves were great and above all else we were able to take incredible pictures. The only downer was, in our opinion, the driver and that affected our overall experience.
