Lassithi Plateau - At the appointed time, you will meet
«VIVA let’s fly» team near the Lassithi plateau.
Then, transfer by company minivans to the takeoff place.
You will be involved in the preparation of the balloon for the ride: unpacking the balloon, preparing the basket, inflating the balloon with cold and then hot air.
Shortly before the takeoff, our pilots will make a safety briefing.
As soon as the balloon is upright, the pilots will invite you to the basket for the takeoff.
Flight duration is 40 minutes to 1 hour. Of course, under certain weather conditions, this time can change both to shorter or longer.
After landing, you and the pilots deflate the balloon and pack it back into the trailer.
When the balloon and its parts are packed, you celebrate the flight with a glass of sparkling champagne.
This tradition is an essential part of hot air balloon ride! -
Lassithi Plateau - Second part of your journey is is a delicious authentic breakfast in a Cretan tavern.

The adventure starts early in the morning as the balloon is readied for takeoff. Following a brief safety briefing, the balloon will gently ascend into the tranquil sky, offering panoramic vistas of Crete’s magnificent countryside. Drifting silently above the plateau at sunrise is an unforgettable experience.
Upon landing, celebrate the journey with a traditional Greek breakfast box brimming with local delicacies. In keeping with classic ballooning tradition, enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and receive a personalized flight certificate as a memento of your adventure.
The experience continues with a pottery workshop led by local artisans. Additionally, there is an opportunity to visit a mythological museum and explore the ancient legends that have shaped the island’s culture.

Breathtaking - Friendly team punctual and good sense of humour. Absolutely great experience. Views were breathtaking and the morning mist gave a truly magical feel to the flight. The breakfast afterwards was very tasty. Highly recommend this.

Absolutely incredible! - This was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The team was amazing — super well-organized, professional, and friendly. I had a transfer included, and everything ran smoothly — they picked me up along with a few other guests, and from that moment on, everything was handled perfectly.
We were even invited to help with inflating the balloon, which was really fun and made us feel part of the whole adventure. Watching the balloon come to life was exciting, and it added an extra touch to the experience.
The flight itself was magical.
I honestly didn’t even notice the moment we left the ground — it was so smooth and peaceful. The views were absolutely breathtaking: the Lassithi Plateau, surrounding mountains, nearby villages, and we could even see the sea in the distance!
The team was also very thoughtful — they gave us all branded hats to protect us from the sun, which was such a nice and caring gesture. And the hats were ours to keep as souvenirs!
After landing, the experience continued.
They took us to a charming traditional Cretan taverna with beautiful views over the Lassithi Plateau — the same area we had just flown above. We were all congratulated on our successful flight, champagne was opened, and we were each presented with a flight certificate — such a lovely touch!
Breakfast was delicious, and the whole group was in such high spirits — happy, smiling, and grateful for the incredible morning we had.
Huge thanks to the company and the whole team — you’re doing a fantastic job!
Highly recommended to anyone visiting Crete — this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you won’t want to miss.

Balloon flight - Pilot and assistant very professional precise and punctual, the very relaxing flight an experience to do at least once in a lifetime, we were also offered a hearty breakfast in a beautiful place at the end of the flight, speak excellent English unfortunately not Italian. Really satisfied.

It was a fantastic and unforgettable experience - It was a great experience ♥️ So peaceful and with a super nice view. Can only recommend this trip. There was a great service and all agreements were adhered to the slightest detail. The breakfast we got afterwards was incredibly tasty
So only positive things to say about this wonderful experience

Unforgettable experience - A magnificent experience that we will not forget!
An early morning wake-up call worthwhile to contemplate the beautiful landscapes of Greece on our way to the Lasithi Plateau, accompanied by two very pleasant framers.
Once arrived, the setup is quick and impressive for a first.
The balloon is directed in a very professional and gentle way to enjoy all these beautiful landscapes in privacy. In addition, on the occasion of a birthday, bouquet of flowers and photos were at the rendezvous
The good surprises don’t stop here, since we had a delicious breakfast in an idyllic setting afterwards, then always return trip in the right atmosphere.

A Moment We'll Never Forget - I’m so glad we did this — no regrets at all! George and Nerjus were amazing, so friendly and kind, and their smiles just made us feel instantly at ease. The view was breathtaking, the silence up there was so peaceful... everything felt just perfect. It honestly felt like time stopped for a little while. Such a beautiful, unforgettable experience.

Unforgettable day - What an amazing day, takeoff, then the sea, the mountains, the fields got smaller and smaller.

Amazing, intimate, romantic, calm and safe ride! (JUST DONT USE THEIR PHOTOGRAPHER) - I chose the private tour on Crete, though quite pricy it was very worth it for a special, remantic and intimate proposal.
The actual hot air ballon staff (pilot and follow car driver) where very professional being on time for the pickup and made us feel safe and secure the entire time giving us breifings and answering any questions we had.
The ride itself was beautiful and peaceful, the plateu we were on had lovely views and the pilot told us some history of the windmills which was intersting. It litterally felt like gently floating in the sky and I would go in a hot air balloon again! The takeoff and landing where gentle but for sure follow the reccomendation of flat shoes. I'd also recommend following the instructions of taking warm clothes as it gets a little chilly up there.
The only downside was I also asked them to arrange the photographer (for extra pay), who turned out to not be the most pofessional. They took some nice pictures of us but were not the best at handling darker skin tones when taking or editing so be careful if you are of colour. Post the event after delivering some of the photos they als withheld some photos (all the solo ones of my fiance) demanding extra pay claiming they were above and beyond the normal set of photos they offer. This was not communicated when taking those photos so was an unpleasant surprise to see them held ransom. They have since stopped responding to emails about it and have not provided even the unedited versions of those photos. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIRING YOUR OWN PHOTOGRAPHER if you want photos of before and after the ride wihtout being charged extra without prior consent or agreement.
