Mike will guide the tour and point out various marine life along the way. Mike is a PADI certified and insured Divemaster and has conducted over 700 guided trips on this beautiful section of reef, which is teeming with life. Since 2014, Mike has led over 800 excursions to this stunning reef area in the picturesque Lauderdale by the Sea. No one is more familiar with this reef than he is! This exceptional location is just a short swim from the shore and features both hard and soft corals, vibrant sponges, and an incredible array of marine life. There’s no need to spend the entire day on a boat! When conditions are favorable, visitors can expect to see angelfish, parrotfish, blue-headed wrasse, and sergeant majors daily. Additionally, various types of rays, sea turtles, eels, and nurse sharks (which are not dangerous) are frequently spotted. From the water, there is a fantastic view of the charming town and the historic Anglin’s Pier, providing a perfect backdrop for photos. Mike will guide you to some of the reef’s best spots and can identify most of the fish you encounter. He is a certified and insured Divemaster! This is an intimate experience with small groups, typically consisting of 4-6 people, with a maximum of 8.
