- Hierapolis & Pamukkale - After picking you up, we travel through traditional Turkish villages, enjoying breakfast en route to Pamukkale. The entire journey, including stops, takes about 4 hours. Our guide will lead a tour of Hierapolis, a renowned healing center in Pamukkale, famous for being one of Turkey’s most remarkable natural wonders. While there is no recorded history of Hierapolis before the Hellenistic Era, it is known that a city existed prior. The name Hierapolis is derived from its association with the Mother Goddess Cult.
The main attraction is a vast white cliffside featuring scallop-shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls, resembling snow, clouds, or cotton balls. During your free time, you can visit the museum or swim in the Roman pool, also known as Cleopatra’s Pool. The water is warm and is believed to be beneficial for heart and circulatory health. After lunch, we will visit a handicraft center or onyx factory on our return journey.
