Amazing Tour Guided by Borneo - I had a great experience on this tour. My guide, Borneo, picked me up in the morning and took excellent care of me throughout the day. His English wasn’t perfect, but he still managed to translate everything clearly and provided interesting and funny commentary along the way. Visiting the tribe and their village was truly special—everyone was welcoming, smiling, and eager to show their traditions and activities. Overall, it was a super nice experience, and I definitely recommend this attraction to others.

Visiting Baduy Luar - Visiting Baduy Luar is a unique experience to see the simple life of the Baduy people close to nature. I have visited Baduy Luar few times and also stayed there for one night. To visit Baduy Luar, you can join a tour package as well. It takes few hours from Jakarta to go there. Here are some things you need to pay attention to when visiting Baduy Luar, including respecting the customs of the Baduy community, not carrying weapons, musical instruments, alcohol or drugs, not littering, etc. In Baduy Luar, there is no electricity or internet, bathing in the river and cooking in a traditional kitchen. Usually we will stay at a resident's house, one of them is Kampung Gajeboh. They also usually walk barefoot and especially for people of Baduy Dalam, they are not allowed to ride in vehicles at all and can only walk barefoot to go everywhere. As for the reference, Baduy people (sometimes spelled as Badui or Kanekes) are an indigenous Sundanese ethnic group native to the southeastern part of Banten, specifically Lebak Regency, Banten, Indonesia. As it has been the case for hundreds of years, the main livelihood of the Kanekes people is rice farming. Apart from that, they also earn extra income from selling the fruits they gather from the jungle, such as durian and tamarind-plum, as well as wild honey. This will be a great exprerience back to the nature.

A nice experience in Baduy - Overall, I recommend this trip plan to trekking-lover, especially the solo traveller, since the traveller can be accompanied with the tour guide and indigenous guide. And more importantly, we can explore indigenous culture and enjoy the harmony of local community and nature conservation My tour guide Haidar is nice and patient. He helps me take a lot of photos to make my trip more enjoyable.

Hidden Village Badui - I finally got to visit the village of Badui, where I had a strong sense of unfinished business in Indonesia, where I spent four years four years ago. I love the hidden villages where the strange Sundanese people live, the clean and constantly updated living spaces that have inherited history, and the purity that lies in the simplicity. I was impressed.

Extremely interest and... - Extremely interest and the guide Gibran was terrific. However, I highly recommend taking a car vs train. It costs more and well worth it. The train ride was fine but the car that took us from the train station to the tour was a disaster. The roads are terrible and the extremely dirty, old Suzuki Vav which didn't have enough gas to get us there made the drive unbearable and frankly unsafe - no seat belts either. That said, the hike was fantastic and the village was worth the hike. As an aside, they only take you to the outer village for tourist. I believe there are small tours that will take you to the inner village upon gaining advanced approval. But the hike is longer. Something to consider. I'd recommend going on a tour to Baduy and the tour company offers a more expensive trip by car which I recommend, but I cannot recommend the less expensive train / Suzuki van trip.
