It takes place in the beautiful and peaceful countryside of Rudiae. First, we will visit the archaeological park, then, surrounded by nature, olive trees and remains of ancient civilizations, we will enjoy some stargazing and talk about myths, constellations, history, cosmology and more.
- This tour is intended for everyone. As it occurs with dark or little light, participants need to dress comfortable and pay attention when moving.

The archeological park is 3.5km far from the city center of Lecce. We suggest to reach it by car/taxi. There is plenty of space for free parking.
From Lecce go southward along Via San Pietro in Lama (SP 16). You will find Via A. Mazzotta on your right. Turn into it and find the parking lot after 70m

Grateful to have participated - Very interesting tour (archaeological site too little known in Salento).
Mauricio, the guide, is really prepared and extremely kind. On this tour you will have a varied program, including information about the archaeological site and observation of the constellations.

Ancient history a stone's throw from Lecce. - Knowledge, culture in a creative mix of history and astronomy. How to go from archaeological remains to a fleeting immersion in ancient daily life, critically revisiting today. A stimulus to think very interesting, going beyond the mere erudite presentation of the finds.

Highly recommend this unique experience! - This tour was a very interesting and unique experience. Mauritzio’s passion for the subject matter shone through and the links that he drew from this ancient site and the stars to modern day life and trends were very memorable and thought provoking. He was very helpful and communicative, including regarding transport to and from the site. If you have an interest in archaeology, astronomy and anthropology this tour is for you!

If your in Lecce you need to take this tour! - Mauricio’s archaeological tour was the highlight of our trip! His knowledge and storytelling brought history to life, and he was incredibly attentive to my 8-year-old son—making the tour fun, interactive, and easy for him to follow. Highly recommend for both adults and kids!

Memorable experience! - I’ve done a lot of tours, and this one was unique and special. Mauricio’s passion for and knowledge of Roman and Messapian history shone through. There’s nothing quite like walking into a Roman amphitheater through the gladiators’ entrance and then looking up at the night sky and talking about the constellations. (We also got the benefit of a lovely sunset.) Highly recommend!

Unique and for everyone - It was a high-level sensory experience that involved us completely. The guide, by mome Maurizio, touched on different areas: the territory (the ancient Rudiae) with the intoxicating scent of medicinal herbs together with the observation of the starry sky, showing in both areas a high level of competence and involvement. Absolutely to recommend to everyone, without thinking!!!

An evening under the stars - The visit to the archaeological park, a few days ago, together with my friends, turned out to be much more interesting than I imagined and all this was possible thanks to the explanations and stories of our guide, Mauricio, who catapulted us into history, into our history .. through important stories and anecdotes ... to end the visit under a starry sky, to which was added a lesson on the stars .. observation of the stars on the ancient Roman steps - An amazing experience and a perfect activity to do while cooling off in the summer night. I went with my friends after hearing about this tour from a local during a visit. Initially we didn’t think much about it, but we were pleasantly surprised by the level of history behind the stars and the stories they tell in the context of Roman civilization. Really fascinating. A wonderful offer of the city and people of Lecce.

Discovering the hidden pearls of our territory - A very well organized tour where I discovered the real hidden pearls of our territory!! With Mauricio, a highly trained, attentive and motivating guide, we were transported into the history of the places, into a past steeped in charm and mystery: The backdrop is a night sky, a source of inspiration for fascinating descriptions of stars and much more.
