It pays to contact the provider. - After contacting the company to express my disappointment in the difference between the advertised tour and what we experienced I received a 50% refund, which I consider to be more than fair.

Wonderful cultural tour with island lunch. - We had Alex as our 4X4 drive. He was excellent driving the steep roads and stopped frequently for beautiful scenic pictures and gave us information about his local lifestyle. He answered any questions that were raised. An excellent tour guide. We were never rushed . My husband and I were the only two on the Jeep doing the lunch on the private island and he gladly took us to meet our boat. He made us feel comfortable being left to wait for the ride. When we saw the boat we were greeted by two very friendly young men who kept us laughing the whole way. Our time on Vavau Island was very pleasant and we were free to do as we liked. The Luau style picnic lunch was very good and was interesting to see how the locals cook underground. After the delish food we walked up to view the 360 degree vista. We were then entertained by the hosts showing us how they make coconut milk and a contest for the men to climb a coconut tree. All in all it was a very pleasant day with relaxation and adventure. Thank you to all involved!

Tahitian Lunch not great! - The boat ride to the island wonderful. The area lunch was provided beautiful setting, but steps leading down to buffet very hard to navigate, hand to have help no hand rails and big rough cut rocks very unlevel. The food was passable but left hungry. There was plain cold rice wiFruity juice or beer and water were the beverage choices That was all. Nice coconut show afterwards, but those steps to the beach and buffet were killers. The toliet I used wouldn't flush and looked like hadn't all day very very rustic. Which I had cancelled and taken Patricks tour heard their food was wonderful.

We took some amazing photos at the... -
We took some amazing photos at the three stops and the crab feeding was fun but this excursion was not at all what we expected. Our guides were very nice and funny but based on the website description, we anticipated them sharing lots of historical information and tales about local life. Aside from a brief story at the WW2 site and descriptions of a few plants, that was it. We also thought there would be lots of 4x4 off-road fun but the climbs and descents were brief and few. We spent most of the time circling the island on flat road. As for the lunch, it was not a cultural experience at all. There was no uncovering of an earthen pit, no suckling pig, no taro root, etc. When we arrived, fish and chicken were already prepared on the grill available at any Home Depot store. This tour was way overpriced for what it truly is and the website description needs major updating.
