Arrival in Leh and Local Exploration

Leh - Arrive at Kushok Bakula Airport in Leh, located at an altitude of 3500m. A representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel in Leh city, just 3 to 4 km away. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome drink at the hotel. To help acclimate to the high altitude, the first day will be dedicated to rest. In the evening, take a leisurely walk to explore the Leh bazaar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Exploring Sham Valley

Lamayuru Monastery (Yuru Gompa) - Start your day with an early breakfast and embark on a wonderful sightseeing journey towards Sham Valley. Be captivated by the stunning moonscapes of Lamayuru and the grandeur of its monastery. Along the way, you may also visit the remarkable Alchi Monastery, featuring monuments and scriptures from the 10th century, as well as Likir Monastery and the impressive Basgo Castle.

Journey from Leh to Nubra

Nubra Valley - Travel from Leh to Nubra Valley (125 KM / 5-6 Hrs). After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh, via Khardung La Pass. This road is renowned as the highest motorable road in the world. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the endless snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardung La Pass (18,390 feet). After spending some time at Khardung La, continue to Nubra. Upon hotel check-in, enjoy a camel safari in the evening. Overnight stay in Nubra.

Journey from Nubra to Pangong

Pangong Tso - Travel from Nubra to Pangong via Shyok (165 KM / 06 Hrs). Begin the day by following the same route towards Leh until reaching Khalsar. From the Agyam Bridge, take the left route leading to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. The road after Shyok is good but quite steep. After Durbuk, turn left towards Tangtse and follow the traditional route. Continue driving to Pangong Lake, one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Located at 14,000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese territory, with only one-third in India. Explore the lake area and possibly spot some rare wildlife. Overnight stay in Pangong.
