Soak in the lush green fields of Valldal, the home of the tastiest strawberries. Traverse the bridge at Gudbrandsjuvet, a picturesque gorge where the purest water cascades down 20-25 meters…
Prepare yourself for a day full of awe-inspiring and breathtaking landscapes. Starting from Ålesund by bus, you’ll soon be on your way along the splendid Storfjord. Soak in the lush green fields of Valldal, the home of the tastiest strawberries. Traverse the bridge at Gudbrandsjuvet, a picturesque gorge where the purest water cascades down 20-25 meters into a crag. Explore the thrilling Troll Road (Trollstigen) and marvel at the stunning view of the Istradal valley from the zenith. To round off your day, you’ll pay a visit to the towering and monumental Troll Wall (Trollveggen).
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide in English due to mixed groups
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking “ship name”
- This excursion without lunch lasts 6.5 hours, while the version with lunch lasts 7.5 hours. If your ship is in port for at least 8 hours, you can join the tour without lunch and return in time for your ship’s departure. For ships in port for 9 hours or more, you may choose either the lunch-included or lunch-excluded tour. We routinely begin this excursion 30 minutes after a ship arrives in port.
- Trollstigen is closed for the 2024 season. The risk of falling rocks poses too great a danger to keep the road open until adequate safety measures are implemented. Trollstigen plateau is still accessible. Due to the route change, we will not be able to visit Trollveggen on this tour.
- Service animals are not allowed by default as other customers may have allergies, in case a service animal is needed please contact us
- All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs
- All terrain are wheelchair accessible

The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note that "gate" means "street" in Norwegian.

Beautiful Views - Gorgeous countryside, Claudia did a wonderful job explaining what we saw and the history of Norway. Lunch was way out in the country at a buffet with several choices. I would definitely recommend

This is not a troll review - is the real deal :) - I can’t choose which was my favorite part about this tour. The views were phenomenal. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The driver was super sweet and gave us a few surprises along time way. Highly recommended taking this tour.

Chasing the trolls - It was the most funny trip in Norway with Giulia and Alex. Her sense of humour and good vibes enlighten our day and his skills as driver ensured a safe excursion. Although the Trolstigen was closed we did enjoyed the views, the walk to the platforms is magnificent. As a compensation Giulia brought this amazing strawberries for us to try. Thank you for a beautiful journey!

- We were so lucky the Troll Road opened two days ahead of schedule after being closed due to falling rocks. The petrifying hairpin turns of this road seemed impossible to navigate but our driver Rune made it to the top. The views were breathtaking! Our tour guide Danny was super enthusiastic and genuinely happy to share with us the beauty of this part of Norway, to answer questions, and he even gave us a tour of Alesund (not part of the excursion) when it turned out that we beat the traffic and had some extra time.

Troll Road Unforgettable - Danny, our guide was exceptionally thorough and helpful and personable. Our bus driver was also friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself was phenomenal. Plenty of time at each stop for pics and experiences. Lunch was great. The entire trip was worth the price!

Fjords / troll - A fantastic tour. Excellent bus driver and guide. We learned a lot about the area and saw some magnificent sights. Lunch was great. Loved everything about it great value and a great day

This was a great tour. We... - This was a great tour. We saw a lot and our guide was great. It was a long day and quite a bit of walking with steep hills that may be difficult for those not as mobile.

The tour guide was... - The tour guide was excellent but unfortunately they could not complete all itinerary in agenda because the road was closed and also the lunch was canceled. I am expecting a parcial refund because of the things we could not complete.

The tour was good but... - The tour was good but needs improvement starting with the lunch stop that probably should’ve been 30 to 45 minutes at most. I do feel that the tour had cut it very close to missing the all aboard time. And there was some delays with traffic on the Troll road so it made me a little bit nervous to making it back. I understand it’s beyond your control but I do feel that lunch stop should’ve been shortened or skipped and spend some more time at the visitor center or to be able to take more time back to the ship just Incase there is an increase in traffic back. Other than that we loved the tour just maybe some tweaking with time management.

A group of six. We are disappointed - Our meeting was at 9:45. We went to the designated place, but there was no one there. Around 10 o’clock, we started to get worried. A bus appeared with a damaged front bumper, a broken front windshield, and a broken front mirror. Somehow, it was not clear that this was the bus we were supposed to travel with. There was no one from the agency. Around 10:05, a woman from the agency showed up, and that’s how we found out that the damaged bus was the one we would travel in. Forty-five minutes after the agreed time, we finally set off. The bus had uncomfortable seats, and the air conditioning was on blowing cold air. We were freezing! And there were small children on the bus too. Despite repeated requests, the air conditioning was never turned off.
