Olgii - Olgii is the highest province in Mongolia, primarily situated in the Mongolian Altai mountain region. This province is renowned for its traditional hunting method using trained golden eagles. Approximately 80% of the world’s eagle hunters reside here.
Upon arrival at the local airport, a representative will greet you, including a driver, an English-speaking tour guide, and a cook. The journey will proceed from the airport to the entrance of the “Altai Tavan Bogd National Park” (a 180km drive from Olgii). Overnight accommodation will be in a tent.
Horse Riding Toward Tavan Bogd Massif
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - After breakfast, the horse riding adventure begins from the park’s entrance to the base camp. The team will include camels and horses with guides, and all baggage and equipment will be transported by camel. After a 16km ride, you will arrive at the Potanine glacier, one of the longest, surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Altai Tavan Bogd mountains. Overnight accommodation will be at the base camp.
Climbing “Malchin” Peak (Mongolia and Russian Border)
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - On this day, the climb to Malchin peak, standing at 4050 meters on the Mongolia and Russian border, will take place. The climb is not technical, allowing easy access to the summit. From the top of Malchin peak, you will enjoy the best views of the entire Altai Tavan Bogd national park and the longest Potanin glacier.
Explore White River Valley
Altai Tavan Bogd National Park - After breakfast, the ride continues to the Tsagaan Gol (White River) valley. Enjoy some rest and relaxation, with time for an evening hike to the stunning two lakes. There will also be an opportunity to ride two-humped Mongolian camels.

Olgii - Embark on a hike to the picturesque Baga Turgen Valley, home to three waterfalls. Visit Kazakh nomadic families to learn about their lifestyle. This visit offers a chance to observe the differences between Mongolian and Kazakh gers, which are typically larger and adorned with colorful tapestries and carpets.

Drive to Olgii City
Olgii - The journey back to Olgii city takes place today. Upon arrival, visit the central museum of Olgii province and the local bazaar (outdoor market) to shop for local art and souvenirs. To conclude the trip, the “Nomadic Hospitality of Mongolia” team will organize a short concert featuring Kazakh folk songs and traditional dances. You can also enjoy the enchanting sound of the “dombra,” the main traditional musical instrument of the Kazakh people. A traditional Kazakh meal, Beshbarmak, will be served.
Farewell to Bayan-Olgii Province
Bayan-Olgii Province - After breakfast, you will be driven to the local airport with your guide for your return flight to Ulaanbaatar.
