Lhasa - With the Tibet entry permit organized by us, take a train to Lhasa from Xining.
Train Station pick-up: Your guide will meet you at Lhasa train station and drive you for about 30 minutes to Lhasa city, where you will check into your hotel.

• For the remainder of the day, it is recommended to relax and rest at your hotel to acclimate to the high altitude. If you feel well, you can take a walk to the Potala to enjoy the night view.

Potala Palace - The Potala Palace is the largest temple of its kind in the world and the highest palace globally, situated at an altitude of 3,700 meters.

Jokhang Temple - Next, visit the Jokhang Temple, where monks receive formal training and education. Surrounding the Jokhang Temple is Barkhor Street, a must-visit pilgrimage route in Lhasa.

Lhasa City Tour

Sera Monastery - In the morning, you will drive to Pabongkha Temple to visit all the chapels. Afterward, begin a tranquil and scenic walk through the hills starting at the historical Pabongkha Temple. You will visit Sera Monastery, another of the “great three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet, founded in 1419 by Jamchen Chojey. A highlight is the monk debate, which takes place around 3 - 5 in the afternoon.

Lhasa - Today, an early drive back to Lhasa will take place on the Friendship Highway. The total distance is nearly 280km, taking 6 hours along the Yarlung Tsangpo River / Brahmaputra River (the longest and largest river in Tibet).
