Potala Palace - The morning begins with a visit to the Potala Palace, the highest ancient palace-style complex in the world, once home to the Dalai Lamas and the center of political and religious power in Tibet. Visitors will ascend over 1080 steps to reach the palace. Although the climb may be challenging, the stunning views of Lhasa will make it worthwhile!
Jokhang Temple - In the afternoon, the tour continues to the sacred Jokhang Temple, a revered site for Tibetan Buddhists. This architectural marvel combines Tibetan, Tang, Nepalese, and Indian styles, representing a timeless symbol of Tibetan religious architecture.
Barkhor Street - After visiting the Jokhang Temple, guests can enjoy a leisurely walk around it in a clockwise direction, explore the handicraft market on Barkhor Street, or simply wander the streets, enjoying the warmth of the Sunlight City. Alternatively, they can relax in a charming tea house and experience the leisurely lifestyle of Tibetan locals.

Nyingchi County - The journey continues with a drive to Nyingchi, known as the “Throne of the Sun” in Tibetan. Travelers will enjoy the scenic views of the Nyang River Valley and pristine forests, experiencing the true beauty of the mountains and rivers.

Yamdrok Yumtso Lake - Traveling through the green farmland of Nyangchu Valley, past Yamdrok Lake, and the Karola Glacier at 4960m, the journey heads west to Shigatse, the second-largest city, spiritually hosted by the Panchen Lama. The highlights of the day include Yamdrok Lake and the Kubum Monastery in Gyantse. Yamdrok Lake is shaped like a coiling scorpion with a deep blue color, and the Kubum Monastery features a 35m-high chorten (stupa) with white layers adorned with decorative stripes and a crown-like golden dome.
