Lijiang - The tour guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby at 09:00 am and provide a transfer to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, which is a 50-minute drive covering 25 km.

Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain - The visit to the Snow Mountain may start with a cable car ride to Spruce Meadow or a visit to White Water River, depending on the schedule of the Impression Lijiang Show, which varies daily between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm and lasts for 60 minutes. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is easily accessible via a network of cable cars that transport visitors to various parts of the mountain. The 13 peaks, home to several glaciers, remain snow-covered throughout the year. The changing altitudes offer diverse landscapes, from serene meadows to snowy paths and glaciers. The choice to visit Spruce Meadow via cable car is due to its lower altitude (3300M) and fewer visitors compared to Glacier Park, along with its beautiful views.

Lijiang Impressions Show - Following this, guests will attend the Lijiang Impression show. This outdoor performance, featuring traditional songs and dances by local ethnic groups from the villages around Lijiang, is held at the base of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, just outside the main building, at scheduled times.

Blue Moon Valley - Afterward, a private car will take guests to White Water River (Blue Moon Valley). The Blue Moon Valley is a strikingly blue river winding through a lush valley of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. From a distance, it resembles a blue crescent moon at the mountain’s base, hence its lovely name. However, the river’s color can change; if it rains, the white mud and limestone rubble at the riverbed can turn the water milky white. Thus, the local Naxi people call it White Water River (Baishui River).

Baisha Ancient Town - After lunch outside the Yulong Snow Mountain park, the tour proceeds to Baisha village. Here, visitors can explore the Dongba pictograms, the mural paintings in Dabaoji Palace, and the ‘ten thousand camellia blossoms’ tree, among other attractions. Baisha means ‘white sands’ and was the first settlement of the Naxi people after migrating south from the Tibetan plateau. It was once the political, commercial, and cultural hub of the powerful, yet enigmatic, Naxi Kingdom. The region became part of the Yuan Empire in the late thirteenth century. The Mu family, which governed Lijiang from the late fourteenth to the early eighteenth century, originated in Baisha. The area also played a significant role in the strategic commercial network known as the Tea Horse Road.

Lijiang. O/N Lijiang

Lijiang - The tour guide will meet guests in the hotel lobby at 09:00 am and provide a transfer to Tiger Leaping Gorge, which is a 120-minute drive covering 80 km.

Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia) - After purchasing the entrance ticket, the driver will take guests to the gorge. The hiking tour begins with a 15-20 minute walk along the plank road to the viewing platform on the valley floor. The Jinsha River’s strong currents roar through the narrow valley, with waves crashing against the rocks. Guests are encouraged to have their cameras ready to capture this breathtaking view. At the narrowest point, a giant rock, 13 meters (43 feet) high, sits in the river’s center, splitting the torrents into two branches. The surging waves crash against the rock with a tremendous roar. A special viewing platform allows visitors to fully appreciate this impressive scenery and take photos. Guests will have 1.5-2 hours to enjoy the gorge’s stunning scenery before returning to the parking lot with the guide.

Black Dragon Pond Park - After lunch, a private car will take guests back to the city center to visit Black Dragon Pond Park. Here, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. This park is a landmark of Lijiang, and the pool is listed in the Collections of Famous Pools of China due to its exquisite beauty. The surroundings are lush with grass and shaded by swaying willow trees. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is reflected in its waters. On the pool’s far side, renovated buildings host art exhibitions, such as the Moon-Embracing Pavilion with its white marble bridge across the water, and the Five-Phoenix Temple built during the Ming Dynasty.

Shuhe Ancient Town - Next, guests will visit Shuhe old town for a leisurely walk in Shuhe Ancient Town. Shuhe, or ‘Shaowu’ in the Naxi language, means the village at the foot of the high mountain. In the past, a high mountain named Jubao stood behind the village, giving it its name. Shuhe Ancient Town is located 4 km northwest of Lijiang Ancient Town. Its central part covers about 5 square kilometers with a population of around 3,000. In 1997, Shuhe was recognized as an important part of Lijiang Ancient Town, which was already a World Cultural Heritage site named by UNESCO.

Lijiang–Guilin. O/N Guilin.

Lijiang Airport - Today, there are no activities planned, just a flight to Guilin in economy class. A driver will take guests to Lijiang airport, with no tour guide. The flight MF8636, departing at 13:50 and arriving at 15:35, is recommended, and the flight duration is approximately 2 hours.

Guilin–Longji terraces. O/N Ping’an village.

Lijiang - The guide will pick up guests in the hotel lobby at around 09:30 am. Guests will be escorted to the famous Reed Flute Cave, a 30-minute ride away.

Reed Flute Cave (Ludi Yan) - Upon arrival at the cave, guests will enter the underground karst cave and marvel at the stunning formations of stalagmites and stalactites. The Reed Flute Cave is a renowned karst cave with numerous stalagmites and stalactites shaped like bamboo shoots, pillars, curtains, and flowers, creating a splendid underground palace. Inside the cave, guests can discover more astonishing sights, such as stone lions, miniature forests, pagodas, and crystal chambers. Each has a romantic or interesting story associated with it. The guide’s vivid interpretation, along with the lighting, adds mystery to the scene. A trip to the cave lasts about 40 minutes.

Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces - After a two-hour drive, guests will reach the entrance for the Longji Terraces, where they will purchase Longji entrance tickets for the rice terraces in Ping’an Village. This village boasts the most famous and beautiful rice terraces in Longji and requires about a 30-minute drive from the entrance ticket office. The Dragon’s Backbone Rice Terraces is a magnificent agricultural spectacle with a history of over 650 years. The most striking part of the terrace cluster is the Ping’an Village Rice Terrace, the first one discovered by tourists and photographers. Numerous narrow rice fields dug along the hill slopes form terraces connected by winding flagstone trails. Viewing platforms allow visitors to see the entire terrace fields built tier upon tier. While there, guests can also experience the traditional way of life of the minority Zhuang people. It is quite interesting to help them in the fields, try on their bright-colored ethnic costumes, and visit their unique stilted houses.

Ping’an Village - Upon arrival, guests will take a moderate trek along steps to Ping’an Zhuang Village. The walk up takes about 40 minutes. The guide will take guests on a stroll around the village, where they can glimpse the local Zhuang people’s unique wooden stilted houses and have lunch in the village. After a short lunch break, the terrace exploration continues to the No.2 Viewing Platform (Seven Star with the Moon), a 15-minute walk, which is a fantastic spot for a bird’s-eye view of the Longji Terraces below. Guests will have ample time to take pictures and enjoy the fresh air at the platform. Then, the tour proceeds to No.1 Viewing Platform (Nine Dragons and Five Tigers), requiring a 30-minute walk along a flat path. Afterward, guests will check in at a hotel in Ping’an and have free time.

Longji–Sanjiang–Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo.

Ping’an Village - Today, guests will take a Dong Minority tour to the Dong Village in Sanjiang. Nestled at the foot of mountains and surrounded by rivers, Dong Village features well-preserved residential houses and a charming natural landscape.

Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge - In the village, guests will see the landmark constructions of Dong Village, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and Drum Tower. Constructed with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge blends the styles of bridge, corridor, and kiosk into a whole, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. The bridge was initially built to provide shelter for people working in fields but later became a dating place for young people and a famous attraction for visitors from home and abroad. The lofty pointed tower with upturned eaves signifies arrival at a Dong Village. The Drum Tower is always located in the village center, serving as the political and cultural hub. Whenever the village chief beats the drum on the top floor, villagers stop their work and gather around the Drum Tower.

Yangshuo County - After lunch at Chengyang Village, guests will take a comfortable 3-hour car ride to a Yangshuo hotel and enjoy a restful stay.

Yangshuo. O/N Yangshuo

Yangshuo County - In the morning, the guide will meet guests at 9 am and head to the Yangshuo countryside.

Yulong River - Guests will then travel along the Yulong River by bicycle or E-bike to immerse themselves in the local idyllic landscape for 2-3 hours. Along the way, they will see vast farmlands dotted with colorful wildflowers and log cabins, stretching from the foot of rolling hills. Occasionally, peasants driving one or two oxen to plow the fields add vitality to the rustic scenery.

Xingping Town - After a lunch break, guests will drive for an hour to the Xingping Dock for a motorized raft journey on the Li River. En route, they will pass by Fuli Town, renowned for its traditional handicraft - painted fans. If interested, a short stop can be made there.

Yangshuo County - After the boat tour, guests can stroll around Xingping Old Street before being dropped off at the Yangshuo hotel. There is an optional night show in Yangshuo, ‘Impression Sanjie Liu,’ performed above and on the Li River against verdant hills. The dreamlike stage effect and original singing and dancing of national minorities have earned the performance a great reputation among visitors. The show begins at 20:00 and lasts for 70 minutes; ticket prices range from CNY 268 to CNY 368, depending on the seats. If interested, the guide will reserve tickets and escort guests to the site after dinner.

Yangshuo. The tour ends.

Yangshuo County - In the morning, the guide and driver will pick up guests from the hotel at around 09:00 and escort them to the Yulong River, where they will start the Yangshuo Yulong bamboo boat tour.

Yulong River - Taking a bamboo raft ride on the Yulong River (or Dragon River), a tributary of the Li River, offers a relaxing way to enjoy the highly scenic area south of Yangshuo. Guests can enjoy the stunning scenery and views of country life on a non-motorized raft in the traditional way, with a gondolier steering over the breakwaters past many small mud-brick villages and farmlands. Once on the bamboo raft, sitting and enjoying the peaceful countryside and limestone mountains, the beauty of this experience unfolds. Even if guests have cycled the area with a few hidden stretches approaching the river, the view from the river is very different. The boat ride lasts for 50 minutes, one way.

Xianggong Mountain - After the Yulong bamboo boat ride, guests will be driven to see Yangshuo Xianggong Hill. A 15-minute climb along a moderately sloped staircase leads to the top of Xianggong Hill. Guests should inform the guide in advance if a walking stick is needed. Situated between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the best viewing platforms in Guilin to take in the beauty of the Li River. The supreme view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.

Guangxi Airport Management Group Guilin Liangjiang International Airport Company - After lunch in Yangshuo, guests will be transferred to Guilin airport/train station or back to the Yangshuo hotel, marking the end of the 7-day Lijiang–Guilin tour services.
