The Old Town of Lijiang is a beautifully preserved ancient city of ethnic minorities, rich in culture. Originally constructed in the late Song Dynasty (960 - 1279), it boasts a history of over 800 years. The town’s architecture is a unique blend of Han, Bai, and Tibetan influences, reflecting the multicultural heritage and development of the Naxi ethnic minority.

• Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture - As guests stroll through the old town with the tour guide, they will stop at the Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture. This museum is dedicated to the history of the Naxi people, their pictographic language, and the animist Dongba religion. Visitors can explore the museum to learn about Naxi culture and art.
• Mufu Palace - The next stop is Mufu Palace. The Mu Family, rulers of the Naxi minority, governed Lijiang from the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, spanning 470 years and 22 generations. The current Mufu Palace exemplifies the ancient central Chinese architectural style of the Ming Dynasty, while also retaining elements from the Tang and Song Dynasties. Inside, the palace showcases the distinctive features of the Bai and Naxi groups. Beyond its architectural significance, it serves as an exceptional botanical museum with ancient trees and rare plants. The garden combines imperial and Suzhou styles. Guests can explore the palace and learn its history and stories from the tour guide.
• Black Dragon Pond Park - The final stop is Black Dragon Pond Park. Guests will follow the tour guide to explore ancient monuments such as Longshen Temple, Deyue Pavilion, Suocui Bridge, and Hanyue Stage.

The tour concludes here, and guests may choose to continue exploring independently. The tour guide can accompany them back to the hotel on foot or by taxi.
