Lijiang-Lugu Lake

Jinsha River - Depart from Lijiang in the morning. The coach journey to Lugu Lake takes about 4 hours. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as the drive winds through the mountain road with 18 bends in Lining. Take a 10-minute break at the Jinsha River observation deck to admire the majestic river, and spend half an hour at the Lugu Lake observation deck for a panoramic view of the stunning lake. Lunch can be enjoyed at the hotel upon arrival (at your own expense).

Lugu Lake - Choose from two afternoon activities. 1. Experience the Mosuo people’s unique transportation method by taking a Pig trough boat to explore the scenic lake, including a visit to Liwubi Island, which features a temple. 2. Opt for the round-the-lake bus tour, an excellent way to fully appreciate the lake, with stops at Lion Hill, Lovers Beach, Rieger Peninsula, and other attractions.

Join the bonfire party in the evening.

Lugu Lake-Lijiang

Lugu Lake - Rise early to hike the mountain and witness the sunrise. Later, visit the Mosuo village by taking a tractor ride. Before the guided village tour, participate in the Mosuo tradition of hanging a prayer flag at the sacrificial altar.

The village chief will warmly welcome you into her home, offering Hada and a toast as a sign of respect. She will provide a home tour to give you insight into their daily life. Gather around the fire pit with the family to enjoy homemade snacks while they share their legends and stories. You can also take photos with the family in traditional costumes. After enjoying a local lunch with the family, depart from the village and return to your hotel in Lijiang.
