The Ica desert is renowned for its extensive vineyards, producing some of the finest piscos in Peru. Once at the hotel, check in and settle into your comfortable accommodations.
Huacachina - In the afternoon, explore the captivating Huacachina Oasis, a serene haven nestled among towering desert dunes. The museum also features fossil exhibits and engraved stones, offering a deep dive into the region’s rich history. We’ll then enjoy lunch at Hacienda Tacama, one of the most renowned Pisco and wine estates. Here, you’ll discover the art of Pisco distillation, explore the different grape varieties, and learn about the origins of this iconic Peruvian spirit. After returning to the hotel, take advantage of its facilities, including a karaoke bar where you can unwind with a variety of songs while savoring Chilcanos and Pisco Sours.
Day 9: Paracas National Reserve and Lima
Paracas - Early in the morning, we’ll set off for the Paracas National Reserve. Upon arrival, we’ll board boats for a one-hour cruise to the Ballestas Islands. Along the way, we’ll pass by the enigmatic Candelabra geoglyph, steeped in ancient mystery. As we reach the islands, a haven for wildlife, you’ll have the chance to see Humboldt penguins, various bird species, and the famous sea lions. With some luck, we may even spot dolphins or whales, which migrate through these waters from May to October. After returning to the dock, we’ll make a brief visit to the Paracas Culture Museum. We’ll then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Lima - Following lunch, we’ll head to Lima, a three-hour drive away. Upon arrival, we’ll check into the hotel. In the evening, savor a farewell dinner at the renowned La Rosa Náutica restaurant.
