In many areas, the sand has a charming pink hue due to countless crushed shells. Return to the boat for a refreshing drink, with our friendly staff ready to assist you. Gramvousa Island is located just across the way. Please ensure you return to the boat on time.
- Gramvousa Beach - Our next destination is the nearby “Island of Gramvousa,” where we will spend another hour. Gramvousa is renowned for its historic Venetian fortress, which still stands 137 meters above the beach. The fort was once used by pirates, and legend has it that a great treasure is buried on the island. The view from the top is breathtaking. If you plan to enjoy the 360-degree panoramic view, consider bringing sneakers, as there is only a trail leading to the summit. Additionally, an old shipwreck, abandoned years ago near the beach, has become a distinctive part of the landscape. Complimentary drinks are available on board. Welcome aboard and enjoy your trip!

Great way to see Balos! - This was a perfect afternoon activity for our group of 13! The boat ride was so much fun and our guide was wonderful! In my opinion, this was a much better way to see the sights rather than on a boat of 1000 people (which did arrive in Gramvousa as we were leaving). We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and seeing the sights in a smaller setting. Would definitely recommend and go back on our next trip to Crete!

Best Way for Quality Balos Beach Time - This experience is amazing for those who are interested in spending quality time at some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. This is a super efficient way to get to Balos and Gramvousa beaches. If your goal is to have a long and leisurely luxury sailing trip, this is not for you. However, if your goal is to spend the time on the sand and natural beauty of Crete, I strongly recommend this experience. They are a well organized small group that gets you to the beaches in 20 minutes time. Parking is plentiful and it is not crowded at all. Everyone from the base to the boat was super professional and friendly. This tour may not be for everyone, but it certainly was amazing for what we were looking for!

Amazing 3 hour tour! Exciting boat ride!!! - Incredible tour and captain! They know the schedules of big boat tours (1,000 people!)-so we hit the lagoon and fortress just right! Doing a 3 hour tour worked perfect for our schedule and they were spot on time wise. Could not have asked for a better tour and friendlier team!!

Loved every second! - The trip was great, we loved snorkelling around the rocks at Gramvousa and Balos Lagoon was incredible… drinks went down well too! Would highly recommend!

Speedboat trip to Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa Island - We had a great time on the speedboat tour to Balos lagoon and Gramvousa. After doing some research, I found this as an alternative option to the huge tourist boats that go from a different port across the island. We were so glad we went with this trip instead- there were 9 of us in total that day, the boat journey was much faster and going on the speedboat was a great part of the experience in itself. Also, our guide timed it perfectly so that we had Gramvousa island to explore to ourselves- before one of the much larger boats turned up and 200+ people got off and filled the island as we were leaving. There was plenty of time to explore Gramvousa and Balos, which were both stunning, and we were kindly supplied with plenty of free beer / water / soda along the way which was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend to others looking to explore some of the beautiful scenery of Crete.

Amazing water! - Remote location for pick up. Rent a car! You won’t regret it :) Check in was easy. Staff were friendly. Sit in back, lounge…you won’t regret that either. Both locations have remarkable water for swims. A bit rocky, water shoes are helpful. You’ll meet lovely people and swim in turquoise waters.

Drove across the island just to show up and then Cancel on US! - Looked forward to spending a day on a boat to go to Balos with my wife on our anniversary trip decided to give this a shot. We are staying in Chania so had to arrange an expensive/long transfer to the harbor to get onboard the boat. When we drove 2 hours to get there they let us know when we got there that they canceled due to weather. However it is not the fact that it was the weather I get that it’s a safety issue. It’s the professionalism of not looking at the forecast before and letting guests know ahead of time. We arrived to find two other families that endured the same experience our previous captain let us know the night before not as we track across the whole island finally arrive and oh looks like the weather is bad sorry guys! We did receive a refund but it ruined our day. Crete is a windy island and if you book with this company make sure you don’t drive all the way out there before they cancel on you!
