As a trailblazer in the tea industry, he was among the first to produce and market tea commercially in Kenya, which has now become one of the country’s major exports. The farm has been home to five generations and is presently managed by his granddaughter, Fiona Vernon. The farmhouse is nestled within stunning gardens, encircled by vast expanses of tea and native forest, which is a habitat for the Colobus monkey.
