The Yellow River, the second largest river in China, transports billions of tonnes of sediment from the fertile Loess Plateau to the agricultural fields of the Chinese Heartland. Currently, this powerful river contributes to half of China’s wheat production. This site is a must-visit for those exploring the natural wonders of Shaanxi province. The Yellow River’s brown and muddy waters cascade down like a teapot’s spout, which is why it’s named Hukou (teapot nozzle). The water rushes down in massive torrents, creating stunning splashes. The waterfall’s roar reverberates from the cave, enhancing the breathtaking experience.
A special lunch will be provided at a local farmhouse after visiting the waterfall. The operator will enjoy a typical meal of the Yellow River region, including dishes like Cyprinus carpio from the Yellow River and Yam fork fork. Following lunch, there will be a 3-4 hour drive back to the hotel in downtown Xi’an.
