- Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum - The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum is an international museum open to all. This museum harmoniously combines ancient and modern elements, as well as Chinese and foreign influences, blending tradition with modernity. It serves cultural and educational purposes, promoting wisdom and practice. The museum aims to inspire individuals to cultivate their pure Buddha nature by venerating the Dharmakaya relics, which symbolize the Buddha’s immense virtue and wisdom. This, in turn, encourages the infusion of goodness, beauty, and sincerity into the world, fostering societal stability and harmony.
- Old Railroad Bridge Education Wetland Zone - The Old Railway Bridge Hanging Trail is situated between Jiuqutang Station and Liukuacuo Station on the Pingtung Line of the Taiwan Railway Administration. The bridge spans the Gaoping River (formerly known as Xia Tamsui Creek) and is popularly referred to as the Gaoping Old Iron Bridge. Designed and constructed by Japanese engineer Toyoji Ida, it was officially opened in 1914 and remained in use until its decommissioning in 1992. It is now recognized as a national monument of Taiwan.
- Sanhe Tile Kiln - San Her Tile Brick Yard is located in Dashu District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, near the Xia Tamsui Iron Bridge over the Gaoping River. It has been honored as one of the top ten historical buildings in Kaohsiung County and one of the top 100 historical buildings in Taiwan, with this designation announced on March 2, 2004. It is a site of historical significance.
Due to the area’s soil conditions, Dashu was once Taiwan’s primary tile kiln hub, but now only three Sanhe tile kilns remain operational. Currently, San Her Tile Brick Yard continues to produce traditional bricks and tiles for the restoration of historical sites and also creates cultural and creative products.
- Jiuqutang Station - The Taiwan Pineapple Museum is the sole surviving pineapple canning industry building from the Japanese colonial era in Taiwan. Taiwan is renowned for its fruits, with pineapple being a notable representative. Today, pineapple cakes are a popular Taiwanese souvenir. However, many may not be aware that Taiwan was once the world’s leading producer of canned pineapples after World War II, with its roots established during the Japanese occupation. The primary pineapple production areas are Fengshan and Dashu in the south, and Changhua and Yuanlin in the center, which were central to the inception of pineapple canning.
- Wei Wu Mi Mi Cun - Mimi Village. The “Lingya International Street Art Festival,” initiated in 2016, has successfully revitalized the city’s image with vibrant colors in the old community! Featuring 135 murals, it stands as Taiwan’s first large-scale art mural community.
