• Blackness Castle - A quaint castle from the 15th century, once serving as a harbor for the town of Linlithgow. A photo stop is planned, but there will be no interior visit.
• Midhope Castle - Known as Lallybroch in the series, this 16th-century tower house will be closed on certain days in November 2023: 15/11, 22/11, and also from 22/12/2023 to 15/03/2024. During these closures, Falkland will be visited instead.
• Linlithgow Palace - The next destination is Linlithgow and its palace. After exploring the monument, there will be time for lunch.
• Callendar House - This magnificent mansion and its gardens are situated in Falkirk. Originally a tower mansion of the Livingston family, it was renovated in the 19th century, drawing inspiration from French palaces and medieval Scottish castles.
• Doune Castle - A stunning fortress nestled between two forests, strategically located on the route to the North. It is an excellent example of medieval castle architecture.
• Royal Burgh of Culross - The first stop is in Culross, a well-preserved burgh founded in the 17th century. Enjoy the narrow streets and the abbey ruins.
• Falkland - Falkland is a delightful historic village celebrated for its beautifully preserved Renaissance palace, charming streets, and picturesque surroundings. Outlander fans will recognize several locations here, most notably the village square, which features as 1940s Inverness in the series. Visitors can enjoy traditional shops, cozy cafés, and easy access to tranquil woodland walks and rolling countryside.
