Belém is also regarded as one of the most beautiful locations in the city, featuring numerous historical buildings and renowned UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as the Jeronimos Monastery and the Tower of Belém. Both were envisioned by King D. Manuel I and constructed in a distinctive architectural style that came to be known as the “Manueline Style.”
