Sintra for a Day
Our trip with Portuguese for a Day and its owner/certified tour professional was so much more than a visit to Sintra. It was a full on tour d'horizon of Portuguese history, culture, language and to-the-point stories of the peoples and events behind the sites. So much more. Filipa is uncommon to our experience - making our day simply perfect. Note also, amazing generous and flexible when I mixed up the dates and times for our tour. Amazing. Nancy and Owen Cylje, USA

We would definitely recommend 'Portuguese For A Day Tours' to others wanting to tour the palaces and enjoy the shops and restaurants of Sintra. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The vehicle was comfortable and clean. We were given ample time to explore and had many unique opportunities to take photos. We learned so much in a fun way! We were provided great recommendations for coffee and lunch. A tour through the countryside on the return ride was an absolute bonus. An experience to remember!

Andre was a wonderful guide for our day trip to Sintra! He ensured we were first in line for the Pena Palace and this helped us to miss all the crazy traffic on the way out. Recommend the earlier departure to avoid this, it's worth getting up early for. Andre was also very knowledgeable, timed our day perfectly, and we really enjoyed this tour and spending time with our group. It was great that all the tickets were already included too unlike other tours that we looked at. Highly recommend!

Our Sintra tour was absolutely exceptional. Even though it wasn't a private tour, this boutique operator made it feel like a completely personal experience. The itinerary was perfectly planned and executed, featuring incredibly interesting sites and very comfortable transportation.
​A special shout-out to Andre, who is hands-down the best guide we’ve ever had. He is a true polymath; you can ask him about anything—from the history of the tour to broader topics—and get a deep, insightful answer.
