Authentic dinner, wonderful host! - We had a fabulous dinner/cooking class. Dre was very personable and shared so much about the history of Portugal and the food and wine. This was not your typical cooking class but a combination of cooking, history, and a wonderful in home dinner. I would highly recommend this if your are looking for an authentic experience.

Not Just a Cooking Class - A great evening together of cooking, eating, drinking very nice wines and sharing life stories in a truly charming setting. It was all we expected and more! The Bras Cod was fabulous and spoiled us for our other experiences with this new found favorite as no one else could match Ze's version and we all look forward to making it (and eating it again). But the very simple Portuguese kidney bean salad was also a surprise hit of wonderful flavors, as was the delicious clam dish. Ze is a wonderful host, with a zest for life and for food and wine and there was not a quiet moment all night. And, although scheduled for 3 hours we were entertained for closer to four hours (or a little more). A wonderful evening!

If you love cooking and eating.... - One of the highlights of our trip. We love cooking, eating and good wine - loved hearing the history of Portugal food culture, doing some recipes as a group, and learning aome about Portuguese wines. This is such an intimidate experience - in chef Ze's house. What an awesome experience and highly recommended.

Unique experience! - Zé was a fabulous host and teacher. We not only ate delicious food and drank good wine, we learned about Portugal’s cultural cuisines, etiquette, food history and more. The cooking class was in his private home, so it was truly special.

An evening with Ze. - My friends and I had a wonderful evening with Ze. Ze shared his love for cooking for friends and enjoying the Portugal experience. We learned cooking techniques through conversations and hands on cooking. It was a lovely experience.

As you settle in over wine, you learn about Portuguese history and how the food is related to it. After the welcome tapas, you will don an apron and enter the kitchen to whip up bespoke morsels and continue the story of this enchanted country. During this evening you will learn various culinary tips and techniques while enjoying delicious food and conversation. Ze is a master of hospitality and is the perfect host for this class. Home Cooking Class - We had a great time at this cozy home cooking class. The appetizers were out of this world and the food that we cooked was well selected and delicious. We topped off the evening with four great desserts. The first one we ate and the next three we drank. Great time!

YOU MUST DO THIS!! - Ze was amazing. A gracious host who loved passing on his love of his country’s food, wine and culture to us. We had people of different skill levels and some were reserved but he got us all involved. We not only learned how to make the dishes but the reason why they are so loved by the Portuguese and how they came to be. The wines he passed were great and we learned why he chose them and where they came from. Being in a house we felt more a part of the community. We could have stayed there all night but unfortunately we did have to be out early the next day.
IF THERE IS ONE THING YOU DO IN LISBON THIS IS IT!

One of our favorite Lisbon activities! - A friend recommended this cooking class with Ze, telling us it was her favorite night in Lisbon and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing and it was so cool to connect with someone from Portugal and learn so much about his country’s culture, history and just everyday life for the Portuguese.

Fabulous hands on cooking class - We were 3 couples and we scheduled a private traditional Portuguese cooking class. Chef Ana was fantastic and the food we prepared was delicious. We made pasteis de nata for dessert and they were excellent. All alcohol drinks are included and a link to the recipes is provided. A great activity and super fun. The studio was set up well so each of us had a cooking station with some of the prep already completed. Highly recommend!
