Give the 28 a miss and take the red tram in comfort. - Found this tour a bit by luck, checking out the 28 tram route which every guid says is a must, and got taking to the very helpful guide in the main square. Far more relaxing ride than the 28, every time we past a stop there were huge queues and every car that past was packed. Can’t have been a good experience in the heat. The red tram takes your through most of the main route of the 28, around Alfama, with commentary through a head set and a load of additional information from the driver, even showed us the engine and the and used on icy tracks. Rocket also gives you 24 hours travel in every other bus / tram / water taxi. We used it to go to Belem the next day. For the comfort, enjoyment and experience, well worth the price.

Much more comfortable than the overcrowded 28 tram. - Took this tour from Praca do Comércio at lunchtime on a Wednesday in July. The driver was really friendly and there were several spare seats. The route covers a significant portion of the iconic 28 tram route (but not all) with multi language commentary through earpieces. It was very comfortable and gave a good experience. It is not a hop on, hop off service. The red tram runs a circular route (just over an hour in length). I later got on a Yellow 28 tram and could see next to nothing due to the number of standing passengers. The red tram is obviously a higher priced option, but you will get a feeling for the number 28 service. Highly recommended.

Quaint way to learn about Lisbon - Beautiful way to see areas of the city. It was a comfortable ride and wasn’t packed with people. Enjoyed hearing about the history along the way. Definitely recommend.

We had some difficulty... - We had some difficulty finding the redemption location. Once we did however everything proceeded very nicely. A very worthwhile excursion.

Poor - We bought a 72 hour ticket. Scheduled Friday Saturday Sunday Arrival on Friday Morning Departure Monday Morning Unfortunately no boat trip was possible on Sunday, we were not made aware of it . On Sunday, the red route was cancelled at short notice due to a malfunction of the audio system. A ride later we were offered but was not logical that we wanted to stop on the way and a further journey could not be guaranteed with the last bus. insufficient It was also not well visible where stops are to be found the plans for this were Very difficult to read on site, very badly marked. Compared to places like Munich Edinburg Santiago di Compostela Kind regards, Urs Schulthess Switzerland

Tram 28 Lisbon Tour - We booked tram 28 for 13.00 pm. It took 2 hours to get in the blazing sun!! Also no audio guide in the tram as actually included in the program. During the trip we found that this is actually a normal public tram anyone can board wherever. One day ticket would cost only 7 euros. We paid 15 euros for a tour ticket. So dear tourists, don't touch this tour. Just buy a day ticket and enjoy whatever you want in Lisbon.

Just stealing! - Extremely expensive for what it is! It is really a tourist catcher, because apart from seeing a viewpoint from afar, the famous rapido cathedral and the castle from afar.. we do not see much of the Alfama district.. the 45 minutes walk are expensive paid for time at a stop or to participate in the many technical manipulations of the driver!
