Bruno gives the best Lisbon food tour. - Our guide Bruno was exceptional. He was easy to understand and funny. We were a group of 12. We stopped at 4 places in the old city that are known for specialities. The pace was easy and there were no delays getting the food. I highly this tour and Bruno.

Leisure - Pedro was kind enough to wait for me while I wandered around trying to find the group. The tastings were all excellent. Length of the tour was just right. Just enough walking up and down Lisbon's steep hills.

Lisbon’s History including food & wine - The food tour was great. We met and started at the Jewish Memorial in Lisbon. We received a clear explanation for why it was there and what it commemorates. After a quick walk inside the Catholic Church we started eating small bites with a sample of port wine. Most of the walking was on level ground. About 2/3 of the way, we did have to climb a medium-sized hill; but the climb was worth it as we went to a Mozambique restaurant and had samosas with wine. Our guide, Bruno, was knowledgeable and entertaining. I would definitely recommend this food tour as a great window into Lisbon’s history, culture, and delicious food and wines.

Lisbon’s awesome food culture - The roast pork sandwich, Solar da Madelena, and the beef samosa at Cantingo de Aziz were eye openers and delicious to this Canadian who has eaten numerous samosas and sandwiches prior. Thanks to our guide Bruno for the culture overview and introducing these fabulous foods.

Great way to explore a small part of Lisbon! - Great tour with Daniel! Interesting facts along the way. Was concerned about the amount of time being too long but it went by quickly. Walk was doable for my elderly mother. Good was great. Just the perfect amount.

A great introduction to Lisbon’s culture and delicious food! - We really enjoyed our food tour with Daniella as our guide. She shared a lot about Portuguese culture while offering us local tastings in unique, off the beaten path settings. Daniella was outgoing and very familiar with the locals which made us feel at home. Her passion for her life in Lisbon was contagious. We can highly recommend this tour!

Best Introduction to Lisbon - My husband and I took the Lisbon Roots, Food & Culture Walking Tour on September 22, 2025. Our tour guide, Daniel, was outstanding! He was the best tour guide we had while in Portugal. He was personable and really knew the area and many of the people along the way. We had plenty of delicious food during the tour, but we really enjoyed all the historical stories that he shared. We met locals like Senor Antonio and really got a good sense of the neighborhoods we passed through. Try to go on this tour your first day in Lisbon - it’s a good introduction to the city. Thanks Daniel for a great tour!
