- Praça do Comércio (Terreiro do Paço) - Situated along the Tagus River, Praça do Comércio is one of Lisbon’s most renowned squares. Formerly the site of the royal palace before the 1755 earthquake, it is notable for its grand scale, symmetrical yellow buildings, and elegant arcades. Opening onto the river, it provides a breathtaking panorama and serves as a magnificent gateway to the city, especially through the iconic Rua Augusta Arch.
- Carmo Archaeological Museum - Nestled in the heart of Lisbon, the Carmo Archaeological Museum is housed within the impressive Gothic ruins of the former Carmo Church, partially destroyed in the 1755 earthquake. Open to the sky, this distinctive site combines dramatic architecture with history, featuring a diverse archaeological collection from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. A captivating place that embodies both Lisbon’s history and its resilience.
- Miradouro da Graça (Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen) - Perched atop one of Lisbon’s highest hills, the Miradouro da Graça offers one of the city’s most breathtaking panoramic views. From this vantage point, one can admire the colorful rooftops, São Jorge Castle, and the distant Tagus River. Known for its relaxed and authentic atmosphere, it’s an ideal spot to enjoy Lisbon—especially at sunset.
- Praça da Alegria - Nestled between Avenida da Liberdade and the Príncipe Real district, Praça da Alegria is a delightful square with a serene and elegant ambiance. Surrounded by traditional buildings, it features a leafy garden, fountains, and a relaxed local vibe away from the crowds. It’s the perfect place to unwind and experience a more genuine side of Lisbon.
- Avenida da Liberdade - A true landmark avenue in Lisbon, Avenida da Liberdade links the historic center to the modern city. Inspired by Parisian boulevards, it boasts wide tree-lined promenades, fountains, and elegant architecture. Known for its luxury boutiques, upscale hotels, and theaters, it epitomizes the chic and cosmopolitan side of the Portuguese capital.
- Praça Dom Pedro IV - Situated in the heart of Lisbon, Praça Dom Pedro IV—commonly known as Rossio—is one of the city’s most vibrant and iconic squares. It is distinguished by its unique wave-patterned pavement, elegant fountains, and central statue of King Dom Pedro IV. Surrounded by historic buildings, cafés, and theaters, it has long been a lively meeting place for both locals and visitors.
- Rua da Prata - Located in the Baixa district, Rua da Prata is one of Lisbon’s main shopping streets. Lined with elegant buildings rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake, it perfectly exemplifies Pombaline urban planning with its balanced design and classical architecture. Lively and central, it connects Praça do Comércio to Rossio, offering a vibrant glimpse into the heart of the city.
- Lisbon Cathedral - Santa Maria Maior Cathedral, commonly referred to as the Lisbon Cathedral or Sé, is one of the city’s oldest and most iconic landmarks. Constructed in the 12th century, it blends Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles, reflecting Lisbon’s rich and turbulent history. With its massive towers and fortress-like appearance, it overlooks the Alfama district and offers a fascinating glimpse into the city’s medieval past.
- Largo da Graça - Situated in the historic Graça district, Largo da Graça is a charming square with an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. Lined with cafés and traditional buildings, it’s a popular gathering spot for locals. Just steps away from the renowned viewpoint, it provides easy access to one of Lisbon’s most beautiful panoramas, overlooking colorful rooftops, São Jorge Castle, and the Tagus River.
- Igreja de São Vicente de Fora - Located in the Alfama district, the Church of São Vicente de Fora is one of Lisbon’s finest examples of Mannerist architecture. Built in the 17th century, it is notable for its elegant, restrained façade and its cloisters adorned with azulejos depicting scenes of Portuguese life. The site also houses the pantheon of the Braganza dynasty and offers stunning views over the city and the Tagus River from its terraces.
- Panteão Nacional - Overlooking the Alfama district, the National Pantheon is one of Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks, easily recognized by its impressive white dome. Housed in the former Church of Santa Engrácia, it honors Portugal’s most significant historical figures. Inside, marble and symmetry create a solemn atmosphere, while the rooftop terrace offers outstanding panoramic views over the city and the Tagus River.
- Mercado de Santa Clara - Situated in the Alfama district, Santa Clara Market is a lively and authentic spot, best known for hosting the famous Feira da Ladra, Lisbon’s oldest flea market. With its mix of antiques, unique finds, and local goods, it offers a vibrant and distinctly Lisbon atmosphere. Set near iconic landmarks such as the National Pantheon, it’s a great place to experience local life.
- Praça do Comércio (Terreiro do Paço) - Return to Praça do Comércio.

Amazing experience 🇵🇹🔥 - We loved our sidecar experience in Lisbon! It is really a unique and original way to visit the city, away from the classic tourist circuits. Settled comfortably together, with one of us in the sidecar and the other behind the driver, we were able to fully enjoy the scenery, picturesque alleys, hills and magnificent views.
Our guide was passionate, warm and full of interesting anecdotes about the history and culture of Lisbon. The pace was perfect: neither too fast nor too slow, with several stops to take pictures and admire the monuments.
Value for money, it’s largely justified: it’s a personalised, intimate and much more immersive experience than a bus or tuk-tuk tour. As a couple, it is even more pleasant and romantic!
We highly recommend to all those who want to live Lisbon differently and leave with full memories!

Best way to tour Lisbon - I surprised my family with this magical tour and they all LOVED it! Was a super introduction to the city and a lot of fun! Our guides were knowledgeable about history, took us to a bunch of sites and it was great being in the fresh air. Lisbon is the city of seven hills so this was much better than your typical walking tour. Steph was a great guide!

Super cool experience with an enthusiastic rider! - Lisbon is teeming with TukTuks, golf carts and other tourist vehicles.
We suddenly saw the motorcycle with side car and that immediately appealed to us.
We received a good explanation of the possibilities from a super enthusiastic motorcyclist, who later took us on a motorcycle and took us to the most beautiful places in Lisbon.
We got a word of explanation here and there, we stopped for a photo and it was super cool!
Highly recommended and .... this is nothing different than those ordinary tuktuks! #wearenottuktuk!!

A fantastic experience! - The tour in side car around Lisbon, with the guide, was a fantastic experience!
The 1-hour duration of the tour is perfect to appreciate the ride with the vehicle, the tour around some great points of interest in Lisbon, without having to block half a day for the experience. The guide (french-speaking for our experience), was really attentive to us, helping us to get in and out of the vehicle if needed, and did not hesitate to make the tour last a little bit longer than scheduled. During the break, he also offered us coffee cups and local sweets, which was very well appreciated. Thank you very much for the wonderful moment !
