Located at latitude 38º 47´ North and longitude 9º 30´ West, Cabo da Roca is an important coordinate for those who sail along the coast, being the westernmost point of the continental European continent, a fact proven by the certificate that visitors take as remembrance.
About 150 meters from the sea, here you can have a comprehensive view over the Serra de Sintra and the coast, which makes the visit worth it.
Historical records point to the existence of a fort in Cabo da Roca in the 17th century. XVII which played an important role in guarding the entrance to Lisbon, forming a defensive line along the coast, especially during the Peninsular Wars. Currently there are only traces, apart from the lighthouse which continues to be an important point for navigation.
- Cascais - Stop to discover Cascais, a town located next to the sea and traditionally a fishing village, which underwent important development in the 19th century. XIV. But it was in the century. XIX, when sea bathing began to be popular, Cascais underwent a boost that transformed it into a summer resort for the aristocracy and the Portuguese royal family. Take the opportunity to take a stroll through the streets that have excellent quality shops or a few moments of rest on one of the many terraces that exist here. The beaches continue to be one of the biggest attractions, so if the weather permits, don’t forget your bathing suit and go for a swim on one of Cascais’ many beaches.

Amazing full day tour in Portugal!! - This experience was amazing. It was the perfect mix of structured touring and free time to explore. Ricardo was THE BEST, fun, friendly and knowledgeable. His grasp of Portuguese history was impressive and due to this we were mesmerized by the history lesson during the Pena Palace Tour. We had free time in Cascais as well as Sintra and Cabo Da Roca.

Great day tour to see more of Portugal….especially for a short vacation - Enjoyed this tour very much. The scenery at Cabo da Roca is breathtaking and beautiful. Stops at each location is adequate. I appreciated the walk through Cascais….lovely community. I appreciated the shopping time and good restaurants in Sintra. The walk up to Pena Palace was taxing but was worth it.

Full day of history and everything Portugal has to offer - A full day of Portuguese history. Daniel who is the owner operator gave us a detailed and thorough explanation of Portugal’s history to include the last monarchy, regional beaches, Lisbon history and much more. We stopped at a family owned restaurant where everything was handmade and the owner was a certified sommelier. There is too much to name, you just have to do it yourself to get the same rich experience that our family had. Highly, highly recommend this tour.

A full day of touring with an excellent guide. - Bruno was an informative and very entertaining tour guide. Despite the unfortunate weather, he provided an excellent tour of Peña Palace. He also provided an excellent tour of Sintra, including a fabulous recommendation for a café. He chose a wonderful restaurant for lunch en route to Cabo de Roca & provided great information about the area. We really enjoyed the tour.
