Great way to enjoy local food and learn about Lisbon - Such a fun evening with friends doing a Portuguese cooking class! We cooked so many things and had a feast at the end. The instructor was very patient and did a great job of explaining everything! We were provided wine and a charcuterie to snack on while cooking and gifted an apron at the end. This is such a great way to sample a variety of local foods while visiting with friends! Highly recommend!

A fantastically, fun and tasty cooking experience. - We had a great time learning to cook typical Portuguese dishes. They were tasty and it was a very enjoyable experience preparing the food and sitting down to eat with a diverse group of people. The wine, cheese, chorizo, bread and olives beforehand meant we were not hungry whilst preparing the food or waiting for it to cook. Angela is an excellent host and teacher. I would highly recommend this experience.

Lisbon cooking class. - If you like to be a part of the cooking experience then this class is for you. No matter what cooking skill level you are, you were contributing to the dinner. The chef was engaging and helpful. The whole meal was yummy. Even making mayonnaise from scratch. Highly recommend this class.

DO THIS! So worth it! - Amazing and so fun! The teacher was great and we were average cooks at best, but he didn’t let us mess anything up! Would totally recommend.

Evening of Portuguese cooking - Great assortment of traditional Portuguese foods and explanation of flavors. The cheese, bread, end, and chorizo to start were a nice touch. The group was expertly divided to cover making 7 different dishes from mains, to sides and sauces, to desert. We were all very full by the end of the night. Loved that we got the recipes to take with us and make again at home!

Great Cuisine in Portugal - I had a great time learning to make dishes from Portugal. I enjoyed the teacher and the people from the class. This is definatly something that I would recommend.

Fantastic must-do cooking class in Lisbon - Loved this cooking class! Renata began the class by offering us our ‘survival kit’ of cheeses, olives, seared chorizo, breads, jams and of course free flowing green wine! Apparently the Portuguese way is not to begin cooking on an empty stomach! The dishes we made were delicious and Renata expertly coordinated our group to share the prepping and cooking with efficiency at the same time as teaching us little tricks and tips! I would highly recommend this class to anyone - even if you are not a confident cook! We will definitely be making our recipes when we return home.

An experience not to be missed! - This was an amazing class! The kitchen was very big and clean, and what surprised me most was being served a ‘survival kit’ at the start of the class - wine, cheeses, smoked chorizo, olives so that ‘we wouldn’t stay hungry even if our dishes didn’t turn out well’ (obviously didn’t happen).
We didn’t get to know what dishes we were going to be made beforehand as the cooking school has a large repertoire of recipes and the ultimate selection will be based on the cooking instructor. In total, we cooked 8 dishes and participants were responsible for 1 or 2 of the dishes unlike other classes I’ve attended where everyone cooks their own share of all the dishes.
Philippa was a great instructor and host. She provided clear instructions and even provided a short history about the origins/ background of each dish we were cooking, and had an amazing ability to multi task given that she had 8 dishes to oversee.

GET RECIPES BEFORE LEAVING CLASS BECAUSE THEY DONT RESPOND TO EMAIL REQUESTS ONCE YOUVE LEFT - I have requested the recipes from the class THREE times now and the operator still hasn't despondent. That being said Renata was lovely, patient, attentive and knowledgeable.
