David is the only guide I will use from now on in Portugal!l - David is the absolute best guide I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. I joined one of David's tours with a friend earlier in the week and I immediately booked a second tour with him. He is a wealth of knowledge, very personable, and he is really interested in showing you the best and most beautiful that Portugal has to offer. I felt so at home with his tour of Lisbon. Great half day tour of Lisbon - David was a fantastic guide who made our half day tour as interesting and memorable as possible. The depth of his knowledge as well as his passion for sharing his beautiful city with visitors made the whole experience special for us. We asked for a “highlights of Lisbon” tour and he crammed as much as possible in for us. I would recommend this tour which can be customized to suit the customers.

Excellent Tour! - An extremely excellent tour with David. We had him for 2 tours and both were phenomenal. He’s incredibly educated, able to teach, and conversational. He’s attuned to the needs of everyone and able to accommodate. 5/5 stars

Lisbon 2025 - David was excellent! His English was flawless with barely an accent despite being a Portuguese native. He blended sight-seeing with historical information to make it a very thorough tour of the city. We had brought a long list of recommended sites to see and he hit them all!

5 star Lisbon private tour - Daniel was our tour operator. He picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise terminal in plenty of time. Daniel was extremely personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. I was in a mobility scooter and he made me very comfortable! Daniel took us all around Lisbon with a great deal of knowledge about the city, buildings, architecture, and cathedral. He took pictures of us as well. I highly recommend this private excursion and felt it a good value for the money.

David is AWESOME!! - 5 stars!! Our 1/2 day private tour of Sintra was conveniently pushed back to a 11:00 pick up due to weather. It was much appreciated and the afternoon turned out to be sunny & beautiful! Thus, the convenience of using a knowledgeable tour guide that makes customizations based on your interests along with weather is a game changer! David reversed the order of our tour, which made the sights magnificent for the Pena Palace! He went above and.beyond to make our experience in Lisbon amazing and allowed us to maximize our short time there! It was an awesome experience filled with lifetime memories, education on lovely Portugal with plenty of laughter!
Cheers to David..we miss him already!
We will highly recommend him to our family and friends and will definitely book with him again when we go back to Portugal!

A Guide You Want to Recommend to Others - David Monteiro (What To Do In Portugal travel guide agency) is an exceptional guide. We went on a 5 hr guided tour of Lisbon with him. He is a native, has 12 years of experience, studied to become a certified travel guide and it shows. After making the reservation David contacted me several times including the day before the tour to confirm the arrangements. He provided a very personal tour taking us to several sights we weren’t aware of that gave us a much richer experience of Lisbon. And he didn’t just drive us around. Whenever we left the car to walk he accompanied us and continued to share his insights. He was very knowledgeable about both the history and the current culture of Lisbon and Portugal. He is energetic, personable, and was solicitous and accommodating of all our interests and needs; very customer focused. He is exactly the kind of guide we were hoping for.

Great tour of Lisbon - Our tour guide, David, could not have been better. He spoke excellent English and became instant friends with everyone in our group. He made good use of our available time and took us to all of the highlights in this beautiful city. David was very knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful introduction to Portugal. He exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely use him again.
